Came here with my family on a Fri night. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! My favorite was the rigatoni, but the lasagna and carbonara were delicious as well. Don't skip the espresso and tiramisu! Perfect end to a lovely meal ✨

We had recently had a pleasure to have dinner at this restaurant and that what our experience was. The waiter that served our table was ok. He checked on us couple times and offered some recommendations but overall from the greetings at the door to the food delivery we had the feeling that staff just not happy! The furniture is dated and tired. I drawned in the chair as it didn't have the proper firminess and couldn't find comfortable position till the end of the experience. Now the bad, the food. The linguine that I ordered was ok. Nothing special but not great. My partner had a chicken melonese and the best part of the dish was a potato. The chicken was rubber. We think that they placed the frozen chicken in the microwave for defrost that half cooked it and than seared that in the pan that made it even more chewy. The entire chicken went back to the kitchen. We have asked if they have any children's menue for our 3y.o. but they promised that they could make something and we settled on the fettuccine with meatballs. Turned out that was the most expensive dish of the night. The regular fettuccine with Alfredo sauce and 3 small meatballs for a child turned into $29 plate.... Overall the experience was mediocre and I will definitely not be back....

A bit pricey but it’s San Diego what do you expect. The oil for the bread was a bit weak, a bit watery. Other than that, the servers were very friendly and spoke Italian, the food was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. Great overall experience.

This was my first time at the restaurant and let me just say it was magnificent ! The person serving me was very excellent and such a sweet person. Thank you for providing me with a great experience and excellent service. Not only was the service great but my meal was extraordinary! My meal was very delightful and delicious. I look forward to telling my friends and everyone I know about this restaurant.

Ambiance is great, servers were wonderful. They even offered to make my friend an off menu item when she asked about a particular favorite dish! My only critique is that I ordered a pasta that had shrimp in it and was disappointed that the shrimp weren't larger. I was expecting like 4 Jumbo shrimp and got 6 medium size. But everyone loved their dishes. Flavor was amazing and fresh. Bella cocktail is delicious!

Highly recommended.Nice staff, good atmosphere and great food and wine. This is so far the best ITALIAN RESTAURANT I have been in San Diego. The owner Sergio was so fun and nice. The food was on spot and the pasta cooked at perfection. I loved the Ossobuco con riso allo zafferano, the meat was so tender and the sauce simply delicious. I love this place! I will definitely come back!!

Atmosphere is very inviting and the people watching from the round table next to front window is the best. Sergio has set up a wonderful restaurant. Thank u to his entire team. I highly recommend.

Was expecting more after reading recent reviews. Plenty of servers, fancy lighting, but have fun counting the loads of bulbs out.We had the carbonora and seafood spaghetti, both very nice, but served on cold plates, no spoons offered, and no grated parmisson. When I came to pay, there was 3.5% credit card charge added. The manager tried to tell me it was my card company, but sorry, they are ripping you off.

So after reading the reviews we decided to give this place a try. For context it's a Friday night 8pm. We walked north up 5th street to get most of the way before heading over to 4th. Every place on 5th was people lined out the doors. We were worried we wouldn't get a table, but 4th Street wasn't nearly as busy. We were seated immediately, and our food was out about the moment we'd finished our bread (crispy crust, perfectly airy and stretchy inside, strong yeast aroma, served with balsamic, olive oil, and spices) my spouse ordered the gnocchi and I ordered the seafood linguine. The gnocchi was delicious if simple, but the seafood linguine was amazing. The linguine was perfectly al dente. The seafood included a generous portion of mussels, clams, shrimp, and chunks of what I think may have been salmon (I didn't ask and I'm no fish expert, but it was delicious). Going the extra mile the dish came with the smaller crab fork and a dish for the completed shells, something a lot of places haven't bothered with in the past. It was nice not poking around empty shells trying to get to my food. Overall I was extremely satisfied with my experience. This place is somehow floating under the radar, so instead of waiting for a table on 5th Street only to be rushed out when you're done, swing by here and enjoy something more relaxed.

The reviews are mostly good so we decided to try. Food was good. The service was not. Inexperienced, slow servers. I could hear and see the manager yelling commands to them the entire time we were there. Will pass on this next time.
