What happened Puesto? Once upon a time, they had the best "custom" tacos and margaritas! We made reservations here to celebrate my birthday... no dessert, no salsa, no nothing! Just a bad $17 margarita, and the tacos didn't seem to be the same quality as they once were. Host didn't even seat us where we were reserved to sit. Nothing went right... so I can no longer invite or bring company here. Truly disappointed, SD fan
I ordered the carnitas plate and it was amazing! The meat was so tender. I felt like I was eating healthier since there were no tortillas. My husband ordered the chicken enchiladas. Great flavor with a little spice to it.
Always delish food!
Expensive! Food was just mediocre. Staff was pleasant but slow. It's double the price it should be. $26 for 5 shrimp, rice and black beans is crazy.
Puesto is always good! I love the verduras tacos and spicy margaritas. They had a fun guacamole with pomegranate seeds that didnât seem to be on the menu this time, but the regular was good. Itâd be great if the bar was faster. Our friends had ordered their first round and were finished by the time we got ours, so we were off all evening. Itâs pretty pricey for tacos and margaritas.
This location had such great music! The food was alright. The tacos are a bit too experimental and don't mesh really well. As someone who comes from a Hispanic background these tacos are definitely not authentic recipes. If you're looking for a simple taco this is also not the place. The value isn't bad but I did not find it worth it, especially because of how experimental they seem. For just one taco it's about $8-$10. Out of all the items on the menu including the food items and dessert, the tres leches was the best not so much for the cake itself but because of the fact that it was coffee-flavored. I don't recommend the bread pudding. It doesn't have much flavor. This restaurant is a great place to enjoy with friends but definitely not a place to try twice unless they change things a bit.
Too pricey. Not worth it
The hostess was disengaging almost to the pint of rude! Our server was just ok but one of the servers who delivered one of our dishes was awesome and nice as well as engaging.
we went there to try the tacos and they were good, but pricey.
Good food overall but I gave it an average review due to the very low value. This place gets a lot of things right, service, quality, environment, but, in a city full of great Mexican, I can not recommend $10 per taco where I can get better ones at half the price for two-three. I normally don't complain about price but you can easily spend $100 for two people for relatively small meals that aren't as good as you can find in Old town, seaport village area or downtown. I will say the children's meals are quite fancy... but if your kid is a picky eater they probably wont like it due to their fancier nature. It looked good to me though! Again, the servers are outstanding, the food is good and the location is fun. But I can't see them being around for long if they don't adjust to the market.
