The chicken sandwich is great! Mashed potatoes and gravy, also great! The fried chicken is better than KFC. Make sure you check your order tho, this place almost always gets it wrong every time I go
I'm more of a KFC kind of gal, but again location for me is everything without a vehicle and my prego craves wanted fried chicken and red beans and rice that I myself did not feel like cooking so this popeyes is what I chose. The location however is kind of a disappointment to the eyes with a gang of homeless people hanging outside, laying all over the walkway, making the surrounding areas smell of urine, and begging for food or money so if you can avoid that for some good food then by all means go check it out
Pretty long wait even though we ordered ahead, but the food was good and hot at least.
May 10th at 4:50 P.M. the lady in front was nice at first and said my wait time was 5 minutes. I asked again after 15 minutes and without even looking at me said "we're working on it" I told them they said that before and how much longer it would be. The manager who was right beside her was even more rude about it and said "I said we're working on it" then after they told them they'd be closed early by the owner he was so happy because I don't want to freak with customers
They may not have enough employees, but the long wait was unacceptable.
First off - I wouldn't punch anyone for this chicken sandwich.So, this review reflects on the hype over the food itself and not so much the specific location - everyone here was friendly and fast and I had zero issues ordering or with my order!!I finally tried THE chicken sandwich and, I gotta say, it's nothing special. Not worth all the hype or the fights over food the hype caused.The Mac n' Cheese is pretty good for fast food; all it needs is a little pepper and it's pretty decent.What happened to the biscuits? They are about half the size and look as though they've been dropped outta a can. Not the huge, buttery biscuits of my youth.Definitely do grab some of those Wild Berry Beignets though!Also - there is no drive-thru for those that care and the parking is kind of a pain, always has been for the center it's located in.
My 1st time ever popeye's chicken. I am a big fan I would say it's definitely = if not better than Chick-fil-A. I did get the chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken sandwich was a nice piece of white meat chicken breast with a very good crunch and good sauce. The French fries have that Cajun seasoning like curly fries do which I really enjoyed. And it's a very affordable lunch or day. The staff was amazing and fast and the food was piping hot
I always order the 3 piece combo meal, a couple a times my third piece is a tiny wing about 3 inches long. I can’t believe they think it counts as a 3rd piece. I got home and discovered this and immediately called, the manager wanted me to drive back to get either an other small wing or get a larger piece. I didn’t want to drive back but offered to put my name on the list to compensate me when I would go back, apparently they have a list of customers who were not satisfied with their meals. They need to do better and train their staff what constitutes an adequate piece of chicken.
Clean, delicious, friendly staff. Convenient location. I love chicken. I love Popeye's Chicken
The chicken was lovely, succulent and juicy. I didn't like the biscuits (but that's just me). OK for a day off from cooking.
