first off, the food is quite good. having said that, i would NEVER come back to this location again.you can't understand anyone who works here. i had to repeat myself THREE times....and every time the lady repeated back something different...that was incorrect.i listened to the next four customers all have the exact same issue. ?the Hawaiian punch was extremely watery, as was the Dr Pepper. made an attempt to explain this, and got a blank stare from two different employees.unreal. how this place is still in business is honestly baffling.forgot to add that on top of the other issues, they gave me a regular chicken sandwich after i repeated SPICY three freaking times.....and they shorted us one biscuit. ugh.
By far one of the worst fast food experiences to date.I went through the drive through this past Friday night, and the guy who took my order clearly didn’t care or remember what I had ordered. He sounded high as a kite and very agitated. It looked like they had plenty of people working so it’s safe to say we can not blame this on lack of staff. Anyways, I get to the window and some girl comes and takes my card for about 5 minutes, walks back over and asks me to park in parking lot. So I do…. And wait over 20 minutes. I finally go in and the manager has zero idea that I made an order?!!!!!!!! So he quickly scrambled to make my order and to make up for it gives me like 20 chicken nuggets and huge sides. It was just a mess…. A huge, waste of my time and money mess. The food was awful. I’m never coming back here again. Awful.
Do not order the fish sandwich! The worst sandwich ever. Barely and sauce, 3 sliced pickles stacked ? The fries were good.
Popeyes USED TO be my go-to place for fried chicken, but not anymore. I have had back to back bad experiences regarding the quality of service and food. First time I got 5 pieces when I ordered 6. Next time I was charged for 5 meals when I ordered 3. Next time again I was over-charged (regular price instead of Tuesday-special prices). But last night bad experience, it was not about pricing or quality of service, but about the food quality. Taste was okay, but the quality was bad, as if it was cooked with super old oil.
My husband never tried Popeyes before so I told him that they’ve got good fried chicken that he should try. He ordered a 10 pieces family meal online and went to pick it up from the Mira mesa location. after order was placed it said it should be ready for pick up at 6:15 pm. He went there on time and it was a complete mess. Tons of people and tons of orders and they couldn’t find his order and the staff there were rude and useless. He picked up the order at 7:30, more than an hour later. And he asked the girl there for a side of ranch, she give him a nasty look and totally ignored him. They are lucky that my husband was the one that went to pick up the order because he is the decent one, he refused to fight. With that attitude I would’ve made sure that location is shut down for good. I will escalate this further and will never step a foot in Popeyes again. I demand an apology to my husband for the way he has been treated there.
This popeyes located on Mira Mesa Blvd. It's always busy and slow, but I find the chicken and sides very good. Today, I wanted to try the Mac & Cheese and I wasn't disappointed. I wanted to get a small, but they were out of it and only had a large for .50cents more. I ordered it and glad I did. I was amazed how it looked like Mac & Cheese like my mom made with lots of cheese and oven crispness on top of it. I tried Chick-fil-A Mac & Cheese too. I like both and you can't go wrong with either one. It's a win ? win for us all. Enjoy yelpers.
I go here about once every two weeks, and the drive through service is always great. I'm not sure why, but there always seems to be a 1-minute pause between customers - as in I usually need to wait for about a minute after reaching the ordering "station" before I can actually put in my order. Also, this particular location is at the intersection of A VERY busy street, so getting in and out is sometimes a hassle during lunch and dinner hours. Overall, really good if you're in the mood for fried chicken.
Line always takes forever to get through here, but the guy they had at the drive through window last night was top shelf. Very kind, very polite. You would have thought you were at chick fil a. ??Get more guys in there like him! Good job.Docked a star for the wait time in line. Great drive through service though.
The store needs better people like the young man that helped me at the last. I ordered in the line with a lady pulled to the window to a guy who had to retake my order. I would rather go up the street to Daves hot chicken.
Ordered for take outWanted spicy, got regularChicken wasn't as tasty as before. (4 peice) all dark. Staff members attempt for good service was complimentary.
