I was warned beforehand that the spicy chicken sandwiches would take an 8 minute wait, but it ended up taking 16 minutes (in the drive thru). By the time I received my order, the ice in my drinks had already melted and watered them down. I also ordered an 8 piece chicken nuggets, but they ended up being like 4 good pieces and 2 pathetic pieces of fried breadcrumbs with no chicken in them. The mac n cheese was pretty good though.
Understaffed and long wait time, the cashier didn't know how to accept cash for deposit and pay the balance with card. After waiting for the manager to come out, and void the transaction, then re-enter the transaction, and mess up my order, we had to wait for drinks during this whole process while they held on to my cash. Then they took their time to catch, plucked, and batter the chicken. Wait time was extremely long and no apologies was given. After realizing my order was incorrect after receiving it, I need to wait in line again and order the correct item, and once again no hospitality or acknowledgment of a error was ever questioned.Poor service
Worst Popeye's Restaurant In The U.S.Try going here in the late afternoon and evenings when it's a bunch of high school kids running it.Customer service is NON-EXISTENT.Teenage employees are RUDE.Food is mediocre at best.One visit to this restaurant convinced me Never To Return.I'll spend my money at the Mira Mesa restaurant in the future.
There is not a full menu. No way to know about shrimp or those chicken Sammie.I did have that chicken. It had been sitting for 30 minutes,bread was hard. All mayo gone. Soggy breading. The actually chicken was so good.But it was slow and kids running the place. If it would have been fresh I may have started a popeys run. But yuck.
While the food is good here, I would not recommend going to this Popeye's. The dining room is not open and the drive-thu is placed in the worst spot. If you go to this one you need to be ready to wait in line in the middle of a busy intersection. It would be better to go to a different location.
I went to Popeyes on Santo Rd around 145 pm today. They gave me fries instead of rice and beans. When I bit into chicken tender, it was raw. I was not given a reciete. When I called them, the voice mail was full. I had to throw away my tenders ?
Ordered two spicy chicken sandwhiches, the chicken was very thin compared to most other Popeyes where it’s thick and the bun was rock hard. Also the soda machine had no carbonation. Very disappointed.
LOVE this popeyes. Right by the house, service is always good and fast. The food has always been perfect, never had an issue.
Used to be my favorite fried chicken growing up. Now the food is not as good and very sloppy service to go along with that. Will give it another try tho
For starters they’re slow as hell… expect to wait a minimum of 20mins in the drive thru line. Secondly if they know how to do one thing they know how to forget something in your order!!! Every time it never fails so make sure to double check that you have everything .. food is good tho:)
