This place was delicious! My family and I ate up everything. The service was phenomenal. We are visiting from New Mexico but if we come back to San Diego we will definitely be eating here again!
Pizza is delicious, roasted beet salad also so good, meatballs and fried goat cheese very tasty. Service was excellent, fast and friendly. Very casual in an approachable local bar kind of way
Worth going out of your way for. The pizzas are made with love and have a next-level authenticity, with the perfect beer varieties to match. There is beautiful vine covered patio with string lights hidden just enough from the street that feels like the perfect romantic Italian alley. Sam was so friendly and kind, he made the whole visit even better. 10/10 will visit every time I come to San Diego.
We came over to dine here as our first lunch in San Diego, and we were surprised to see we were the only ones seated. However, the appetizers and entrees were amazing! We ordered pizza, pasta, and other types of food and they were all wonderful. Our waiter Sam was very attentive, and he was very helpful in deciding what to order. He even recommended a few places to visit during our trip! At the end, he brought out a complimentary tray of desserts. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here, and I couldn't recommend coming here more.
If you're looking for a delicious pizza you must stop at Pizza e Birra. Yeah, you might say "pizza is pizza." Well let me tell you. When you know that the owner works their. And when I say works there. I don't mean stands behind the counter and tells people what to do. Sam (owner) gets down and dirty. He'll serve you, cook for you, and clean after you. Sam is an amazing men/owner. He is super friendly and fun to have a conversation with. Oh, and I won't forget to mention his son Cameron. Great team. You want to support a Business then Support a family owned business.Head over to Pizza e Birra and enjoy some amazing food. Pizza, wings, salad, pasta, and dessert. Man I'm drooling just thinking about it.
This place is a little off the beaten path, but 100% worth it. The pizza is great, beer ice cold, cannolis fantastic and both the owner and server made sure to make personal connections to us. If you’re watching a game there are 5 large TV’s to ensure you don’t miss a thing- worth the mile out of downtown
A hidden gem! Excellent food and excellent service. Not fancy and in an odd location but definitely worth the time to find it. Visiting from Phoenix and wish we'd found it sooner!
