Trying new things, I opted for someMediterranean cuisine. Enjoyed my lamb&fries with their “hot sauce”. Only downside was when ordering “to go”, I usually need napkins because I’m on the road…got none. Also, the temperature in their dining room must’ve been 85* at least. Too hot to enjoy food there if you ask me. I’d stop in again if driving by.
I wish I could give PITA 22 TEN STARS...It is that good! They use only fresh healthy ingredients made the authentic Mediterranean way. The homemade PITA BREAD IS OUTTA THIS WORLD!!! Being vegetarians we usually order the SHAKSHUKA PLATE and we have never been disappointed. They serve large portions...you never walk out of there establishment hungry! This has become one of our favorite restaurants in San Diego. We must give Jessica (the general manager) a big shout out! She is always @ the door with a big smile to greet me and my 95 year old boss when I wheel him in his wheelchair and ALWAYS GIVES US PROMPT SERVICE! We look forward to visiting again real soon!Thank you JessicaRespectfully, Kirk RegaliaSan Diego, California
Brilliant food and excellent service! Everything we ordered was made to order and tasted fresh! We got the shawarma plate, baba ganoush, chicken over rice and hummus chicken. Be aware, the portions are large and it’s easy to over order.
The staff was polite and served the food on time. Good job on keeping the place clean and topping it off with prompt service. The Vegan options are a treat to the taste buds with meal portions a generous combination of healthy and colourful! The ambience of the place is great and it is in decent distance to the Los Penaquitos waterfall hike trail. Do check it out if you are in the area!
Food is absolutely amazing!!! I love everything here.
If you want a real good shawarma, this is the place you should go.It's always fresh and clean. The stuff is always welcoming and friendly.Very recommend.
I ordered a chicken shawarma plate. Unfortunately, it tastes like the chicken had been in the warmer way way too long or it was just overcooked. Some of it was hard and brown. Not quite like wood, but it was not soft and succulent like chicken shawarma should be.Mind you it was Sunday an hour before they closed, so one can see how this happened.Still I was starving hungry and very disappointed.
This is hands down my favorite Mediterranean food in the San Diego area. I don't even live in Carmel Valley anymore but I still make the trip here regularly, it's just that worth it. Love their salads and Chicken Shawarma Pita especially. Hard not to become a regular. It's also really easy to order online and the service is always quick and friendly. Highly recommend.
Best Mediterranean food ever. 100 out of 100. A must try place. We had ordered falafel plate and chicken kabob. Every single item, including salad, tahini, rice, pita and hummus was super delicious.
Very tasty food. Good ambience. Good service. Will visit again.
