Great tasting baby back ribs and good size portions. The manager is great, really friendly and helpful. Hopefully will be going again when over from the Uk.

Phil's in Rancho Bernardo. The food was great. We loved the onion rings. Personally, I liked the beef ribs more than the pork. The bbq sauce was also good. We ordered the loaded fries and they were decent. Staff were good and dining area was clean. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Really enjoyed my beef rib dinner. Generous portions. Not a huge fan of the "order at the front counter" arrangement and with little kids not a fan of having to go pick our meals up and get all our silverware, etc ourselves. That said, a very family friendly atmosphere. Cornbread was delish. Prices rocked me back on my heels a bit, but that's pretty much the story everywhere right now. $29.99 for 3 beef rib dinner, which included very meaty ribs and 2 sides.

This was my first time going to Phil's BBQ and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good. I had the baby back ribs with a side of pulled pork and baked beans. The ribs were very tender and the bones had a lot of meat. The fries were fresh cut and the portions are big. I ordered the corn bread and that's the only thing I felt could've been better. It comes with maple butter which isn't my favorite. I prefer regular butter and I would've liked it to be warm. All in all it was a good meal. It is a little expensive though.

I’m from Kansas City so must admit, I’m biased when it comes to BBQ. I tried both the chicken and baby back ribs. Both were good although not great. There was certainly a smokey flavor to both but not a great char on the ribs. Also, pretty expensive, about $30 for one slab of ribs without sides and $18 for 1/2 chicken without sides. There aren’t many BBQ options in SoCal so can understand the popularity with locals.

AMAZING! My husband and I were travelling from Canada and usually try and pick a BBQ place every destination we go to and after many travels this is one of the best! The menu selection is great. We were able to have a bit of everything and didn’t feel like we left anything out. We were so full by the end of the meal it’s all we could talk about. This is our first “date night” without our 6 month old and it was EXACTLY what we needed. Our servers names were Dwight and Billy who were both SUPERB! Kindness goes a long way and after spending 5 days here they were certainly a breath of kind air and for sure made up for a rather bad start to our trip. They made it more memorable for sure. You won’t regret coming here if you want good BBQ!

Ate at Phil’s BBQ in the San Diego Airport while waiting for our flight. Had the Broham sandwich with coleslaw and French fry sides - the BBQ and slaw was great - very tasty! My wife had the same but with the mac salad which she said was good too. Lots of good food for not too expensive considering in an airport. Plan to hit a location outside the airport on our next trip through San Diego.

Well we have loved this place forever. Out latest trip was a shocker as prices have increased so much that we will not be able to return ever again. This is so sad. For those of you lucky enough to afford it Enjoy!

Excellent location, never a line and same amazing Phil's fall off the bone level BBQ. Can't get enough of Phil's BBQ baby back ribs, had a full rib dinner with steamed veggies and baked beans. Friends shared another full rib, with fries and also tried the loaded fries (tri tip shavings)... Absolute amazing loaded fries. Definitely recommend a plastic bin, and stay off the soda. Left with a full heart and full tummy, and a oncoming case of the ITIS (IFYKYK). 10/10 would recommend this BBQ joint and this location for families!
