Pesto Linguine Shrimp Scampi fresh pasta and large shrimp. Flavor was not overpowering yet proper sauce thick texture. Sea bass special plentiful two large filets with a tomato accoutrement, very tssty and filling. Tiramisu was excellent very light smooth and creamy not overly sweet. Outdoor table seating. Service was good, checked on us regularly. But almost too much foot traffic between 2 tops near the restaurant and larger party tables near the curb. For some reason a lady ran several times between a store and somewhere farther down the street right through the table rows. Very distracting seating arrangement where pedestrians are walking constantly right by your table.Glanced indoors and the decor seemed slightly contemporary and simple I prefer the outdoor seating atmosphere seemed more Italian restaurants genuine.Would visit again.
This place was a pleasant surprise. I had never been here before but glad I tried. The staff was very nice and the food was oh so good. Started with bread and a saucer of oil and balsamic for dipping. It's a small thing but I do love my bread and the oil & vinegar was portioned just right. The main dish (pictured and forgive me but I don't remember it's name) was a plate of divine flavor. I have not had a meal so delicious in a long time. The place was small and quaint. It was like a good meal in an Italian home. I highly recommend stopping by for dinner. I can't wait to go back and try more items from the menu.
Dinner with family and friends. Total price for 10 people was $470 including tip with a bottle of wine and 4 appetizers. Food was good, we tried to eat everything but the appetizers were too good so the college kids took the leftovers home.
This is the third time I visit Parma Cucina Italiana and I definitely will be back again, again and again. The food is beyond delicious. Roberta, the Italian girl is the best waitress ever, even the owner came to say Hi ?. Definitely a place you want to be back. ????
Visiting San Diego for the first time with my family. If you are looking for fantastic Italian cuisine, don’t waste your time anywhere else. The food, service and ownership are phenomenal. We are in town for 2 nights and will be eating there both nights. I can’t recommend enough!
We ate dinner last night as a group of 6 and had an amazing time! The food was delicious! We enjoyed every bite. We shared several appetizers and 6 different main dishes. The pasta and sauces are incredible, the meatballs amazing, the prosciutto fantastic. We also enjoyed their wine menu which paired well with the food. The staff was friendly and helpful and welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for delicious food in a comfortable atmosphere. One of our group was a vegetarian and had many options to choose from as well.
Excellent food and service. Our food arrived hot, fresh and very delicious, can’t stop thinking about it even after eating. Our food did take a while to arrive probably as the restaurant was busy (weekend evening). Meanwhile, the staff kept attending to make sure we were informed. We tried the chef’s special lentil soup, gnocchi and ravioli- all 3 dishes were amazing.Ample seating indoor and patio. On a busy day the place can get noisy. Also, street parking isn’t very easy to find.
Visiting San Diego and decided to try Parma Cucina based on the reviews. Great choice! Catch of the day was sea bass and it was excellent. Enjoyed the wine and dessert. Staff were friendly, courteous and made me feel at home. I would definitely dine there again.
This is a quaint, warm restaurant with excellent food, friendly and hard working staff and perfect portion sizes. We were a party of 3 and sat insider. We ordered 3 different meals and shared family style. The pasta with the short rib sauce was our favorite. It was perfectly seasoned and simply amazing. Would highly recommend for an intimate dinner.
We love Italian food because we are italian. This little restaurant reminds us of the many we have been to in Italy. The menu is simple, the food is delicious and the service was outstanding, Roberta, our server, was superb. She is from Italy and brought the joy of Italy to our table. The sea bass was delicious as was the Bolognese. All simply prepared and delicious. We will be back soon.
