Park and Rec has amazing cocktails, good service, and a ton of tables for seating. The live music also is a fun add on. Also really enjoyable getting food from another location on Park and bringing it over. Overall recommend!
Very cool spot with a great backyard party vibe, great place to go with a group. Solid bottle selection and killer cocktails.

A few months ago, Park and Rec started hosting an event for songwriters on Monday nights called Writer’s Round. It’s an intimate space in the bar’s “greenhouse.” It’s an open mic styled event that features local songwriters, with two rounds of random performers taking turns sharing their music and the songwriting process. Artists like Lee Coulter, Rachel de Koekkoek, Evan Diamond, Joshua Taylor, Lauren Leigh, Jeff Berkeley, Lisa Sanders, and Aaron Bowen. Such an organic spot to catch the songwriting community.
There is always a huge line (that moves fairly fast) on weekends... This place is a trip. It's built like a house party, with a very eccentric layout. In the back is a pretty large dance hall. Seems to attract good people too. Bartenders are competent and keep the lines rolling. Go for a Great time... Located in the heart of the city, very close to Adam's ave, in University heights
I've came to Park and Rec twice with both times being very different, but both very enjoyable.The first time was on a Friday night earlier in the evening, sometime around 8-9 PM. By the time I was taking off with my date there was a DJ in the front and the bar was getting full.This time around I arrive sometime around 10PM, maybe a little earlier and it was packed with multiple dancefloors. Getting a table to sit down and drink was very unlikely, but if one were to be going out to get a groove on and dance, this was definitely the night for it.So, for a more tame and lax night accompanied with a couple drinks , try to come earlier and for a night of dancing, the later, the better. Though a line does form outside.
Drinks are fantastic.Atmosphere depends on what you want. A lively bar scene with space, sometimes music, and good times - then yes.If it's a quiet place to catch up with an old friend - then maybe not as it can get crowded and loud.But usually a good time.
I love this place. I love the music. The drinks are super yummy. However, some of the bartenders have a hard time with math and I do not make change if you pay cash. The drink prices are not consistent with pricing rates. I genuinely felt ripped off. ? I won’t be back.
