I am really disappointed as I type this review because Panini Kabob Grill used to be a family favorite but in last 1 year their service had become so so bad.We have done mostly take out orders in past year, almost once a month and on that they have messed up our order at least 4 times. Either dish is incorrect or they forget to put the salad which comes with the dish in the takeout bag.When I called to complain, the person who answered was so rude. He literally yelled and disconnected the call.This place , if wants to continue doing business in this location, need to hire better staff and manager else soon people will stop coming just because of their service.This definitely was my last visit at this place.
We have eaten in at least a dozen Mediterranean restaurants in San Diego. Many of them are very good, but my wife and I both believed that Panini Kabob is the best one. This was our second time dining in, and we also had takeout meals on two other occasions. The food is excellent. Their chicken Kebab especially odd very tender. Their salads and soups are also very tasty. The restaurant has an bright, airy feel and it is a really pleasant place to eat in. The servers are also friendly and helpful.
The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Our family sat on the patio “Covid safe .“ It was raining and our waiter quickly dropped the plastic drape and kicked on the heater for us. The Kabobs were the big winner at our table. Everything was good.
One of my favorite places for wholesome irían food. The portions are generous, the food quality, seasoning and presentation is good. Service is spotty at times but I guess this is due to the era of employees shortages.
Stopped by here for a Sunday lunch prior to nearby art exhibit.Appreciated:1) the ambience. Good shaded patio seating and was not crowded for a Sunday brunch. Warm colors, relaxed decor.2) Decent portions and fresh side salads.4 stars because...1) Sent out one of our orders wrong (ordered chicken soup but was given lentil soup). Party member took a sip before realizing it and then asked for the ordered chicken soup. Waitress ended up taking BACK the lentil soup then providing chicken soup. First time I'd seen that before, and found it just slightly offensive. Like, it made sense to do that so people don't go regularly ordering one item then pretending they ordered another to get two free portions. But really? You were gonna throw out that first soup anyway... right... right?

Great Mediterranean restaurant near Del Mar Heights. Broad array of healthy foods. Friendly staff. Service wasn't as fast as expected, but could be due to Covid staffing effects, so your mileage may vary. (And out of lamb during our visit, but seems to be a problem at most restaurants now - probably will be just an intermittent thing.)Recommended for a moderately priced and health family meal.
Great food! Great atmosphere! And great service. Very convenient before or after a movie.
