This is not the place for take out if you are hungry. We got 2 chicken Caesar salads which barely fill the to go container 1/2 way. We also got 2 Turkey Deli sandwiches which were an ok size. Do not go by the on-line prices. In store price is $2.00 or more. We also bought 2 cookies and 2 Danish which were not in the to go bag. I am completely done with Panera.
Dirty patio, dirty tables and a pile of dirty dishes. That's what we saw before going in. It should have been a sign!! The place was empty, maybe one customer eating, we waited for a good 5 minutes to be served. I counted at least 9 employees behind the counter and not a single one asked if we needed help. So we left and went somewhere else, an hour or so later on our way back we walked by and saw that the same pile of dirty dishes was still there.Bad service and not a clean place.
Although I go here frequently, because I like their food and am in their coffee subscription and get work away from home done here.But they often are overrun with people, tables that haven't been cleaned, and need to put out more straws, etc... Sometimes the vibe feels more cafeteria than cafe. In the evenings especially, I've been there many times when the staff in the back is just messing around. They often don't answer their phones and it isn't uncommon to get your order wrong (but they'll fix it, gratefully).Their hours are also not as good (closing @8 on weekdays, which is sad as they used to be one of the couple of places in Mira Mesa open until 10.Regardless, the Panera food and prices are the same, and the wifi is always good and the bathrooms are clean.
I got a good turkey sandwich from here. Service was a little slow. I was surprised to get a text from the restaurant apologizing for the extra wait!
The one thing they need to not do is putting too much salad dressing on their salad.
If you are looking for a quick, semi healthy lunch or Dinner spot, this is a great option. Plenty of seating.
The person who helped me could have been friendlier like her co workers. Bagels were a littke stale
$17.29 for for chicken sandwich that is exactly the same as mcdonalds $2.99. I’m super disappointed it literally ruined my day
The service was good, but the French Onion was very watery, and rather bland during my visit.
The service was horrible. No greeting what's so ever.They are slow, and talking with other employees seems to be more of a priority. Soup not impressive.
