The BEST Ice Cream store I've been to in San Diego! You can tell that the owner puts his heart and soul into every flavor available. The customer service is top notch! If you're ever in Pacific Beach and you want an unmatched flavor of ice cream then you'll have to stop by here. The Screwball P.B. Cookie is hands down the most unique ice cream I've had to date!
Very tasty ice cream! My husband got chocolate mint and this is the only mint ice cream I've had that tastes like the mint leaves from my garden. Might not be everyone's jam but I thought it was exquisite.The owner was there when we went and he was cool and and was obviously very passionate. I really dig that.This is classic ice cream, lots of heavy cream which you can taste (it's not a sugar bomb nor a flavor bomb as far as the flavoring). Homemade waffle cones have nutmeg, I think. Very very yummy but would choose ice cream flavor with this in mind. I want to come back before we head home!
Absolutely delicious and unique flavours. The vegan ice cream is made with coconut and tastes just as good, if not better if you really like coconut. I got to try their basil ice cream and WOW. There’s nothing not to like. Very authentic and real ice cream, highly recommend!
Ice Cream Shop was clean, creative, fun, and above all, delicious. In-house waffle cone (I had a waffle bowl) also gets an A+. The staff was kind, enthusiastic, and genuinely enjoyed what they do. Will be back. Will recommend.
Incredibly delicious stuff being made in this gem of a spot !! I was told by some workers at another place nearby I was having lunch that I needed to check this place out and boy we are SO glad they did. Owner was working and you can see how passionate he is about community and wanting to do the right thing old school way, and I cannot stress how much I respect that. Uses high quality ingredients and it shows! He had me try a few flavors which were all great and I settle for Julian Dutch Apple Pie & Rock Road on a cone & both were awesome !! I’m gonna bring the whole family down next weekend because I just know everyone will love it as much as I did!
Not only is the ice cream FANTASTIC, the owner is also the sweetest man on the planet! I started coming here while pregnant and he gave me unlimited samples and asked my genuine opinion. I love that some flavors are constant while others are seasonal. You can’t miss the Julian Apple Pie in the fall! 10/10 recommend ice cream here year round!
My friend and I tried this place today because they had such a large variety of dairy free options! I actually ended up getting some ice cream with dairy because the flavors were so unique and delicious. I’ll suffer later (lactose intolerant) but it was 100% worth it. I had the apple berry crumb pie flavor which was phenomenal. Every single flavor I tried was fantastic, so I will definitely be back for more! To top it off, the owner was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Thank you for being so kind and turning a little trip to get some ice cream into a fun experience! ?
Great ice cream, would absolutely go back when in San Diego. I got the rose saffron pistachio and rocky road flavors in a waffle cone. The rose saffron pistachio was unique and particularly enjoyable. UPDATE: As a note, in my view, 4 stars is a fantastic rating--I reserve 5 stars only for places that are extraordinary. This ice cream was delicious but didn't leave me dreaming of the flavors or counting the hours until I could eat it again (as is the case with some ice cream that I've had in the past). Hence the 4 stars.
This was some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had! Super fresh and flavorful. The guy serving the ice cream was so awesome and helpful. He was more than happy to let us sample as many flavors as we wanted which was great because they have a lot of unique options to choose from. Definitely my new go to ice cream in SD.
Dave's ice cream shop was a HIGHLIGHT of our vacation in PB. He had 8 different vegan ice creams, and they were delicious, rich, real flavors. My favorites were grapefruit, chai, coconut and spicy mango (yes, we went a lot). My husband and sister loved the mint chip (real mint!!) and peanut butter cookie dough. We'll definitely be back, thank you!
