Oscar’s has Amazing Fish Tacos.
Amazing! So fresh and light. We ordered the battered shrimp and battered fish tacos. Both were very good but the shrimp was outstanding. Everything is very fresh and light tasting. The sauces in the fridge were very good. Our meal was extremely affordable, I think we paid $30 for the entire meal and portions were generous. We couldn’t finish it all.
Very nice taco restaurant by Pacific Beach. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the fish, shrimp, and octopus. The ingredients tasted fresh and they give you a lot of garnish/toppings to go along with the meat.
Came by with a group of 5 on a Saturday evening for dinner. Parking around the area is a bit tricky to find, but if you look hard enough, you will eventually find a spot in the vicinity. Oscars sells tacos that were on the larger side of what I've seen, so their prices run higher than a typical taco place. I got some tacos and the ceviche. The ceviche came topped with fresh avocados and a side of tostadas on the side. I got the fish ceviche. It was a little disappointing since the fish itself tasted a bit tough and dry, perhaps it was sitting in the ceviche sauce for too long. Out of the tacos I got, my favorite was the surf and turf, which was loaded with skirt steak and shrimp and generously topped with veggies.Indoor and outdoor seating was available. I'd recommend stopping by for tacos, just don't the ceviche!
Really good food but tends to get busy. The fish stew was my favorite. With plenty of seafood and vegetables
It wasn’t that busy when I arrived, I was able to order the fish stew, taco especial and surf & turf tacos. I cannot believe how much you get for the value that you pay. The stew was filled to the brim with seafood, especially the octopus - it blew my mind how it could be so tender! The tacos were delicious with smoked flavour along with the various sauces to garnish. Definitely changed my mind for tacos. Only item to mention is they charge $1 extra for flour tortilla that I didn’t know about.
Ceviche! Fish tacos, and you must try the fish stew, all of this food was $33 with tax. Incredible flavors and the sauces were amazing.
I tried the fish and shrimp battered tacos. Both were really good but my favorite was definitely the fish tacos. The prices are also cheap and they take credit card. Must stop spot for San Diego fish tacos.
Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I was not impressed by the fish burrito! The burrito was basically just a wrap with (really good) fish. The service wasn’t that friendly either. Next time will try the tacos which is apparently the move! There’s outdoor seating here and it’s dog friendly.
Fresh ceviche, smoked fish, and spicy shrimp. Great tacos
