Authentic Italian dining with friendly, attentive staff.

Homemade pasta was delicious. Service was excellent.

It was our daughters birthday and we are all from different states and were looking for a good Italian restaurant. The other Italian restaurants around the area were much more expensive so we decided to try Operacaffe and hope that the lower prices didn’t indicate lower quality. We were more than satisfied! Everything was incredibly delicious !!

Everything from start to finish was excellent! The service was exceptional along with the food. It felt as though we were in Italy, authentic Italian food at its best! The ravioli, Margherita pizza, and spaghetti di mare were delicious. Our stomachs were full, but we managed to try the desserts. We were so glad that we did…spumoni ice cream and limoncello cake, EXCELLENT!!

Wonderful service and superb food. Authentic as you can get. I would return as often as I can.

We had a wonderful meal here. We wanted to sit outside, but a loud mouthed braggart drove us inside. Juan Carlos and the team provided excellent, efficient and friendly service. The food (bruschetta, penne speperina and Alaskan halibut, one of the specials) was outstanding in every way. We shared all three dishes so were comfortably full instead of stuffed after dinner. Still no room for dessert, though. The wines by the glass were very good (SuperTuscan for me and Gavi for DH). We hope to return!

Service was absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed sitting outside. Food was pretty good and well priced.

Service was awful, waitress was rude! We asked for bread before we ordered our meals while we waited for the rest of our party and they told us we couldn’t have it until all of our party was seated. We had a large party and one person ordered a salad as an appetizer before her meal she never got it until we were paying the bill and then they actually charged her for it she had to argue with them to get them to remove the salad from her bill they were just plain rude!

Much quieter setting than other restaurants in the area. The hostess made us feel very welcome and the wait staff was exceptional. Started with bruschetta and a Caesar salad and both were very good. I had the fettuccine pesto and my wife had chicken parmigiana and both dishes were excellent. Only regret was we were leaving town the next day or we would have gone back again the next evening but will return next time we are in town. Special thanks to Kika for making it a very memorable anniversary dinner.

This restaurant is a true gem! The food is super fresh and delicious with some great choices and a dessert menu to die for. But the best part is the fabulous service and how friendly, welcoming and accommodating the staff is. My favorite place to eat Italian food in San Diego!
