Mr Frostie, best service ever. Fantastic range of just about everything. Tailored made ice creams no request a problem It just a shame it’s over 7000 mile away for us back in the U.K. if you are in San Diego it’s most definitely worth a detour to this old school ice cream shop

Mr. Frostie is a San Diego institution. It’s been here since the 40s, and has always been a go to for soft serve ice cream and shakes. I came here as a kid and fondly remember twist cones dipped in chocolate shell. Sitting at their tables and getting soft serve drilling all over your hands is a right of passage. Now that I’ve grown up, a little, I like a twist in a cup with chocolate dip on top. That way you get more harshened she’ll and don’t make as big of a mess.The best part of Mr. Frosties is bringing my family here now. It’s the next generation, so 3rd in my family that gets to enjoy and I look forward to the next one after this too. My kid’s favorite is a twist with rainbow sprinkles.Don’t forget they have excellent shakes and sundays too. You can’t really go wrong except to not come here!
I have been enjoying chocolate dipped ice cream cones for many years. Last week and today I have noticed the ice cream dipped in chocolate is smaller than the medium size shown when I ordered the large size. I asked if the cone is on a diet or something but the lady just turned away from me.
Stopped here when we're were in PB buying my kiddo new skates. Delicious shakes, delicious ice cream and very fairly priced.Ate way too much, got a stomach ache. Definitely recommend.
Open since 1949, I found out and I've been going for 30 years. Never had a bad experience and the ice cream is awesome. I always get the peanut butter and chocolate shake. There's lots to choose from.

I love how the parking lot is tiny and I always manage to get a spot. Always a 10/10 experience. Great ice cream and the big one sandwich is good too
Been around for a while (at least since 1998).Banana splits and chocolate sundaes are great. Banana shakes (made with fresh Bananas) are amazing.Some times there is a long line and parking in the parking lot can be difficult.
