Lots of staff standing around and we walked in to an argument about whether someone could go home or not. They never brought over wasabi and ginger or explained that you could either pay a flat rate or by plate and the plate prices werenât listed anywhere. Almost no vegetarian options for my wife on the conveyor belt so we ended up ordering off the other menu. It was super expensive and they played a little game where they ask you at the end if you are using the all you can eat option or pay by plate. Why donât you tell me which one works out better and then give me a choice? Really not a good experience here.
Place has potential. Would love it if they had more variety of sushi in the revolving belt
Terrible sushi. Would not return. Barely anything on the conveyor belt.
Wanted a new sushi place and this was a fun experience, sushi flows on by continually and each plate taste fresh. Pricing is incredibly low compared to what weâre used to.
Service was poor. Asked for thin sliced lemons for sushi and they had no idea what I was talking about. Requested for a server and they never came. I constantly had to wave them down. Server was annoyed whenever I asked for anything. Fish was barely ok, it was dry and felt old. The fish wasn't molded to the nigiri, it sat flat and stiff like a board on top the the molded rice. Will not be returning.
Very nice staff, attentive and helpful. Food was very yummy and it was a fun experience.
Great spot for really good quality sushi, I would never think to eat sashimi from a revolving sushi spot, but the tuna and salmon are some of the best I've had in San Diego. Occasionally they will have chutoro and otoro as well which is a must have! Overall great experience, prompt service, great food and drink options. This has become my go-to sushi spot in SD.
I honestly was very disappointed I have been there a lot within the past year and I feel as though the last two times weâre very disappointing. We were at the bar and the bartender was not even there. We were told she had stepped out and would be back but that was not for at least 30 minutes. After that she did not pay attention to us at all and we were the only ones at the bar. When we went over to the sushi restaurant it was the same thing. We tried calling over a waiter so we could get soy sauce and they never came. I am not sure what is going on since they used to be amazing and had great service but I can not say that occurred this time or the previous time I went there.
The food did not taste fresh. The sushi rice was dry and terrible. Tasted like sushi that was made the day before.
We have been here multiple times and each time is a little different and honestly slightly worse. The first time we came it was great, all around. We had no reservations and waited an hour but had drinks in the bar - we were ok with that. Revolving belt was full and had labels to know what your grabbing. Great service, food and cleanliness. Second time was good. The service was ok, we had reservations but still has to wait 30 minutes. One of the hosts had an attitude with us because we wanted our group of 7 to sit together and not two tables 20 feet away from each other, Iâd was obvious when he rolled his eyes at me. Reviving belt had a fair amount of plates at all times and appropriate labeling. Server didnât seem too thrilled with her job. Food was still great and the restaurant was clean. Full restaurant. Third time was mediocre at best. We were not checked on unless we ordered another drink from the tablet at the table. That even took way too long to receive. All we had were sodas and water, nothing special ordered from the bar. We had to waive down servers to ask for more soy sauce and chopsticks. Also, napkins⦠no napkins on the table when we were seated and we had to waive someone down for that as well. The revolving belt had minimal plates and what was coming out was not labeled appropriately or at all. You really need to KNOW fish (cooked and raw) if no labels are present. Restaurant was clean. Visit #2 & #3 were both attended with only half the restaurant open. I do suggest the restaurant take this into consider because my friends/family and I really enjoy this concept and the feel of the restaurant. We do also find the menus priced appropriately too. We would probably come in more often if minor changes were made⦠including the attitude of the servers/hosts. I am aware staffing may be short & and I understand this struggle but it doesnât mean that service has to be that uncomfortable.
