Try to ask the waiter/waitress if you could get a seat at bar — watching how chefs cook noodles and stir veggies could bring you pretty decent visual experience. The soup and noodles were as tasty as the one on Clairmont Mesa.

First time trying this place. We've always gone to the joint across the street for ramen. I gotta say, we tried this place before, but could not get a seat due to the wait. This time, I babysat the wait-list(online) and placed my name. When we arrived, they say us right away. The food: it was amazing. It's our new ramen place. We got an appetizer of some dairy of chicken; forgive me for not remembering. I then ordered the tonkatsu chasu ramen, then added an egg. Best ramen ever. Absolutely. If you order ramen here, make sure to add an egg. Also there's chili sauce that's friggin awesome. Not that hot, but it's a really nice addition.Very happy overall with the place. Definitely recommend. Next time I go, may just order the ramen that comes with the egg. The chasu ramen was a little more food than I needed.Oh yeah, they have a ROBOT that buses the dishes. Blee my mind!

If have a 2nd stomach, will order more from the shop. Real Japanese operation with details. I saw they cook bean sprouts every 10mins to keep things fresh. Cannot ask more. Great job. Fried chicken is a must!!

The best ramen I have ever had!!!

JOIN THE WAIT LIST ON YELP!! So many people came in to eat left disappointed because the wait list was full.I ordered Tonkatsu Chashu Ramen with an egg and added butter, my friend got spicy miso, a side of fried gyoza and fried chicken. The ramen broth was so delicious and rich, the eggs were perfectly cooked medium (hate when ramen comes with a well done egg..) and the pork belly was thickly sliced but perfectly cooked. The whole mea came together so well.My only complain would be the wait but that's a given and the service.. it's hard to wave down a server.. I asked the server if I could have some water since she was pouring other tables water and she said okay and then left to get our server and after five minutes I got a refill.. so that sucked. Aside from mediocre service the food was delicious and outshines any other issues I had.

I love their ramen. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the broth is very delicious

Service was great. The ramen was good, above average, but just not anything mind blowing. Have had much better in Japan and Hawaii.Definitely not bad but probably wouldn’t go back.

My favorite ramen restaurant. The gyoza and Nagoya style chicken are my favorite appetizers and come of fast. The ramen is very flavorful and filling. Ordering is also very fast with the sheet you use to fill out. I go there frequently and recommend it to anyone who enjoys ramen.

The ramen was amazing! Delicious and enjoyed every last drop of it. The Nagoya karaage was a bit too salty and was soaked a little too much with soy sauce. Next time i will definitely get the regular karaage

Put your name on the list before you head to the restaurant and be prepared to wait. Be patient too because the quality of the food here is well worth it. I am admittedly not very knowledgeable in the world of Ramen but what I can say about Menya Ultra is that the broth is rich and deep, yet subtle; the chasu is tender, well seasoned and flavorful but the star of the show, for me, was the Ajitama or the egg.
