My first time at a cacao caffe! Also vegan. It’s raw, healthier, high antioxidants and better than chocolate. Genius! They also serve teas, hot chocolate, boochcraft, non alcoholic cocktails, truffles, savory and sweets!Ben was working that night and we had asked him what’s most popular. He said aphrodisiac cacao. We got the frozen hot chocolate with Ecuador cacao, maple and oat milk. So good! The oat milk made it sweet and creamy. Also got the Mind and Body Cacao with Ecuador cacao, hint of lavender and rose. The cacao was a mixture of bland and bitter, not sweet, and takes a bit of getting used too. Still very good.We also got the lavender truffle, mocha truffle and bourbon truffle. Be sure to take a bite of your truffle before taking a sip of your drink or else it’ll alter the flavors. Bourbon was the best. Oh also got the Peruvian cacao chocolate chip cookie. It’s not as sweet as your typical cookie.

Run to Maya Moon, don’t walk! As someone who can’t really drink coffee, a cacao cafe was a dream come true. I love cacao and all things chocolate. My only hope is that more Maya Moon’s open up, closer to home ?.Go grab yourself a hot (or cold) adaptogen cacao (my personal fave, if you like warming spices) and a slice of chocolate cream pie or cupcake, you won’t regret it.The space is light, modern and welcoming. I often enjoy working from their tables which provide outlets, great for work/study laptop sessions.Their Mediterranean and Carrot Lox toasts are also a delicious savory addition. Not forgetting the empanadas or the quiche. Drool. There isn’t much on the menu I haven’t tried and I am never disappointed! Everything is DIVINE. Welcome to your latest obsession. One more thing, if the Orange and Olive oil cake is available, GET IT. Thank me later.

This cafe is absolutely beautiful. It’s spacious and has mesmerizing artwork. I got the regular hot chocolate with marshmallows maple sweetened and it was perfect for my kids. I also got an adaptogen cacao drink for myself. That one was a little too potent and very bitter. This is a sweet place to meet friends and get a heart lifting warm drink.

One of my wonderful friends gifted me some chocolate truffles and cocoa powder and shipped it all the way to NYC!!I cannot get enough of the hot chocolate. It's been the best way to keep me going though winter and snow storms! It's not super sweet, which is perfect and you can taste the goodness in every sip!I will definitely visit on my next trip to San Diego!

I’m a huge chocolate fanatic, so of course I had to check out this cacao themed cafe.Upon entering the beautifully airy cafe, I was immediately greeted by the friendly employees. I decided to go with the golden cacao with coconut milk, maple sugar, ginger, and turmeric for that immunity boost. The menu also offers non-cacao based drinks, like tea, coffee, and matcha. I decided to pair my drink with a vegan caramel layer cake. All their baked goods are gluten free. The drink was strong, but good. The sponge cake was crumbly and not as moist as I would have liked. At $10 for such a small slice, I definitely had higher expectations. It’s a beautiful space, and a conducive environment for studying or getting some work done.

The vibe of this place is off the charts ? and their offerings are seriously top notch. Best part? The people are so lovely and welcoming. Full moon cacao tasting and sound bath was otherworldly ☕

Review reflects chocolate only, the shop & environment is very cute and hip. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the 6 truffles I purchased. None of them really tasted good, they are pretty expensive and to-go packaging could be improved. It would have been nice to get a sample first. I would only go back to maybe try a drink and sit on the patio.

As a non chocolate person, I was blown away by this place. I guess I have been exposed to the wrong kind of chocolate all my life. This place serves pure chocolate desserts and chocolate infused drinks. I can't even describe my experience here tonight. My wife has been wanting to try this place and as part of our dinner date tonight, time saved this stop for dessert. Glad we did. Everything we had tonight was absolutely delicious. The vegan caramel cake, the truffles, the chocolate infused drinks. The gal who helped us navigate the many options was super duper helpful. The place is also what you'd expect a chocolate dessert joint to look like. Everything just fits. The decor, the desserts, the drinks. I'd have to say that the raspberry truffle was a stand out as was the chocolate hot drink. Super rich but not in a way that overloads the taste buds. Just enough to make you want another bite and another. Perfect place to bring a date. It was relatively quiet when we were there with ample seating inside or outside.

Rich, authentic cacao + warm, friendly environment.

The best truffles you can find in San Diego. A full chocolate explosion in your mouth with various flavor hints. Packaging is dainty and colorful. The hit chocolate is hearty and filling. My tummy and my heart are full (of chocolate) when I leave.
