I love this place so much. Marketplace Grille is my favorite mediterranean restaurant in San Diego. Their food is so good, and I used to come here every week… but less now. It’s because I love this place and want it to be successful that I feel I should point out a few things for them.I feel my requests get ignored too often. I always order one thing. And it’s the same dish every single time, only no sides (so no salad or tomatoes, just rice). But more often than not… I get salad and tomatoes in there. I severely hate tomatoes and onions… but if someone were allergic, the outcome would have been a lot worse.We all can’t help being forgetful sometimes. But considering there’s only ever 1 customer or none at all when I pick up my order, I feel they can afford to focus a bit more. I don’t get drinks. I don’t get any sides. No fancy requests. Just meat, rice, and water. That’s all I want. And I will edit this review if they get this right from now on.I’m not worried about prices getting raised, I am more than happy to remain a loyal customer throughout the years. Your food and kind staff is absolutely worth it. Just please, consider this.Edit: Haven’t had any problems with my orders lately. Five stars.
I’ve been a customer for 6 years and it’s still amazing today as it was my first visit. The food quality is great and the customer service is why I keep coming back. The woman that runs management is so sweet! The kind of place they remember your face and order every time. The soup is also very delicious and would recommend.
Chicken wrap you are a is always good make it fresh add things delete things I get mine with no tomato and no salt sometimes I add roasted vegetables always friendly
This place the flavor of the food is very good. The portions are small considering you are paying 18 bucks for a meal. Customer service is not the greatest. The lady in charge is not very friendly. She is more concerned on socializing with her coworkers. Than providing quality customer service. Would not recommend this for lunch unless you are looking for an expensive lunch with not a lot of food.

Had the Tony special with Chicken. Over priced, no bread and very small chicken portion for $18.00. Felt cheated.
Service was really great. They gave us free soup while we waited. The salad was huge. Although the rice was flavorful, the salmon was pretty dry. It tasted pretty good though.
I have been eating here for well over 10 years on a weekly (if not sometimes daily) basis. The chicken wrap is to die for. My husband always gets the chicken kabob plate. Of course you have to always get the yummy hummus and pita bread. I drive 10 miles from my home to eat here, driving past Luna Grill (yuk) and other like restaurants. The food at Marketplace Grille has better flavor, quality ingredients, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Picture of the last half of my chicken wrap before I finish it off!
Amazing Fresh Mediterranean! The owner and her staff serve every delightful dish with a smile! Good food with awesome service makes this restaurant an experience you won’t forget!
Vegetable bowl was more pleasing than what I expected. The addition of fried flavored whole vegetables was a sweet addition.
