Highly disappointed!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! First time here and the food was advertised as authentic Lebenese food, FAR FROM AUTHENTIC!! This food was so bland, absolutely no flavor!! And as I began eating my food I found a super long black hair in the chicken. DISGUSTING! When I mentioned it to the young man who took my order he was so unapologetic! Never said sorry, he didn't even want to refund me the money. And when he did he insisted that he wanted all of the food back before he could refund the money!! HA! As if I wanted to scam you!? Take your shifty food back! I will never be coming back here again!! Absolutely terrible service!! Oh also he insisted that he could only partially refund me since I had drank my coke!! What a joke!!!

Honestly, very disappointed. Had heard good things about this cute, small business and how great and “authentic” the food is. There is nothing authentic about canned chicken being used under the guise of chicken shawarma. The pita wasn’t anywhere close to fresh, the rice wasn’t even bland, just shy of being considered that. Got the chicken shawarma salad and my partner got the wrap. We didn’t finish either…literally, beyond disappointed. I don’t even like grape leaves but that was the only edible thing we ordered. Spent $50 on dumpster food that took 20 mins to make. Would highly not recommend. Alexis on 5th is lightyears better…check them out because Mama’s Bakery is not it!

disappointing. wanted to like, pita looks like store bought and at least 3 days old extremely hardened and not fresh at all, was charged for items we never received, and when we called back once home, we were offered little to no recourse to solve for any refund for missing items. bummer because it isn’t cheap and we won’t be returning. hummus 3/5 eggplant wrap 1/5 pita 1/5 tabouleh 4/5 falafel 3/5.

Disappointed. I was craving Mediterranean. Got a chicken Sharma salad and humus. Salad was basic, couldnt taste the "lemon" dressing and the chicken tasted like boiled chicken. Humus not great, it was very watery. Def not going back. And I paid $18, def not worth the money.

I've been going to Mama's Bakery & Deli for over 25 years. Tucked next door to Live Wire. Fabulous Middle Eastern (Lebanese) food, done right - local, authentic flair. Very generous portions at great values. I've tried pretty much everything on their menu, all 5-stars. My favorites are the chicken wraps, gyros wrap, baklawa for amazing dessert appetite. Honestly, do yourself a favor: hit this place either dine at their patio or bring it home, you will NOT be disappointed. This is a legendary San Diego institution as far as I'm concerned.

I always forget about this place and then BOOM they hit me with the flavor. I love their pita wraps and salads and I don't know what hot sauce they use but come onnnnn the flavor is top notch. Get the garlic paste. Enjoy!

Pretty low standard of hygiene. Gyro meat was overcooked. Drinking water tank was filled with the garden hose and the water was muddy. Service was not pleasant as if the customer committed a mistake by visiting them

Mama’s Deli has been a staple of Lebanese food in San Diego for as long as I can remember.. Ingredients are always fresh and the homemade flatbread is to die for!

Eddie does a great job in serving these delicious food. Loved every bite of the hummus , baba ganoush etcYou should also try the cheese pie!
