I’ve tried almost everything on the menu && they do not miss! The atmosphere feels like home. Would definitely recommended 10/10.Pictured: Lemon pepper wings & Hanks Seafood potato

You know the food good when there is a scripture on the entry post when you walk in! Food was PACKED with flavor! Enjoyed everything we ate. My husband enjoyed the shrimp etoufee, I enjoyed the snapper dish, and my mom had the drunken catfish. We shared fried green tomatoes, fried pickles and beignets for dessert! Bragged so much my mom and uncle went back the following weekend!

Long overdue on needing to check this place out and I’m glad we did. Atmosphere was excellent with music bumpin and everyone clearly having an enjoyable time.Drink selection was both unique and tasty. Really recommend the Big Shot, which was just the right amount of fruity. Food was also very tasty, kicking off with biscuits that were just the right amount of flakey. Overall had a fantastic time and will definitely be making a return visit.(Vegetarians will find limited options here but that was pretty expected going in)

I took my moms here for Mother’s Day. The staff were very nice, inviting and provided fast service. We enjoyed the food and have zero complaints. Definitely recommend and plan to be back to try other menu items.

My first time at this restaurant. Overall a great choice. Loved the ambiance, hurricane cocktail, gator fries, BBQ shrimp. I have uploaded pictures of the entrees and apps. Gumbo wasn’t my favorite, too salty.

With Southern roots, I'm a little skeptical trying Southern or Creole restaurants outside of our territory. The Louisiana Purchase was worth 10 stars. The service was phenomenal. If you go for brunch, you have to try a bloody mary even if you don't usually drink them. All of the food was excellent!

Delicious and high quality food and friendly service! We ordered the crawfish mac and cheese which was cooked to perfection. Also the lemon pepper wet wings, cajun fries, ox tail rolls, and cheddar garlic biscuits were all satisfying! They give large portions. You will not be disappointed, just make sure to make reservations at least one day in advance.

Hesitant at first -- trying to live up to Louisiana style cuisines in San Diego is a bold move.... But buddy let me tell, this was honestly the best food I ate during my stay in San Diego while visiting. Everything was packed with flavor.... I ended up searching for a location in Louisiana after eating... The atmosphere that's set will cause you to lose track of time, if you aren't careful.

Great foods and service. Reservations are required. However, we came from out of town without knowing and the staff was able to accommodate us by offering bar seating.

I came here based on the reviews. I’m very disappointed with the food and service. We didn’t have a reservation. The hostess was accommodating and arranged a four person table for five of us. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food. When our Spicy Chicken Skillet came out, it was with chicken wings not chicken breast. We ended up having way too much chicken wings as we already ordered another chicken dish. The chicken wings did not taste fresh and spicy chicken wasn’t spicy. Several of them had lots of feathers. I told our waiter but he said chicken wings are supposed to have some feathers. I understand that chicken wings have small feathers that are hard to clean but we didn’t pay close to $30 a plate to eat feathers. I asked if he would eat it and he didn’t respond. If you price your dishes at the higher price range, then I expect food quality to be good.Edit: I’m here to add that my husband threw up and had diarrhea last night. I do believe it’s from the chicken dinner last night. I’ll look into it further. Please don’t serve chicken that’s not fresh and full of feathers to your customers!!!
