Great place to eat with friends.
Food and service were both great. Beware, the Shrimp a la Diabla has a good kick to it, but very tasty! Michelada was on point.
I was a little bit skeptical about this place, but finally I went for Tacos Tuesday and my god! I should’ve come sooner, EVERYTHING is good from the place, the food, the service is EXCELLENT, shout out to Fernanda! She’s an awesome server! VERDICT: I will DEFINITELY come back :)
Our waiter was amazing! He was so attentive, friendly, and upbeat. We were celebrating our birthdays and he made us feel special.
Service is quick and friendly. You can either order ahead and pick up or dine in. Opted to dine in and we were served chips with a flight of various salsas. Salsas were delicious as were the chips. Placed our order and th food came out within a reasonable time and hot. Everything was seasoned well and delicious. Only downside was that the huarache I ordered was overly cooked and a little difficult to cut with the plastic utensils they give you to dine in. I requested a real knife and was given a butter knife with no grip so cutting was impossible and my fork tips kept bending every time I attempted to cut the huarache or the stringy skirt steak. This made enjoying the meal a little difficult so I was unable to finish my meal in house. Also ordered a pepino picoso margarita that was delicious! They did not skimp out on the tequila and it went down smooth. Only downside to this drink was A) My glass had a large crack down the side that was allowing my drink to leak out a bit and B) Our waitress took away my glass before I had finished the cucumber bits and my lollipop that came with the drink. Other than that, the presentation was fun and the drink was great. To recap: Food is delicious, but depending on what you order, eating a $20 meal with plastic utensils is not enjoyable. Drinks are great. Service is quick and friendly. Parking is rough, but this is unfortunately normal for the location. Overall, I plan on going back in the near future in the hopes that my next visit is improved.
This place is really good. I got a simple bean cheese and guacamole burrito and it's surprising how good it is. The flavor of the beans alone will have me coming back here again for sure. They were also quick which was another pleasant surprise. I just stopped in for a quick bite before work but I'll be coming back here for a full meal soon.
This is one of my husband, Steve Gibson’s favorite hangout when he gets out of work around 4pm before CJs is open. You'll see his white Ford Ranger parked out front. Service is good. Drinks are decent. Prices are good.
Fricking amazing place to get your grub on in the morning/brunch/lunch! Bloody Mary, Mimosa, and Michelada all provide a great drink to accompany the savory mouth watering plates of food! Suiza Enchiladas (chicken) are the best I have had so far from any restaurant that has them on their menus. The monster bacon filled burrito, egg, & chez was a hit with the kiddo. And the beef skirt steak with 2 eggs and bean/rice was success for the better half. Highly recommend this place! Amazing servers! Along w/ great selection of soups also. Perfect outdoor patio and pet friendly for your 4 legged family member to join you on your dining experience!
After years of coming to this place, things changed for the worse. I constantly supported Los Panchos including an old and new place at Washington Street, San Diego. But lately, food is sloppy and not that good quality. For example; I ordered a fish burrito and the fish was way too mushy, cabbage was cut extremely thick and it was way too much liquid in it. Looks like management is out on vacation or simply doesn't care. Being extremely busy I ate 3 (last) times at Los Panchos last week. And then for the weekend, I checked my bills in my financial software comparing it with a bank account spending. Then I figured out that whoever over there at Los Panchos added $3 to $4 tips to each transaction, which I did not authorize. Definitely, this is a total disaster for what used to be a great place.
A fun Mexican restaurant & bar in Hillcrest. The food is ok but the fun atmosphere secures that 4th star. The fish tacos were an 8/10. The enchilada platter a 6/10. The cheese and beef enchilada was warm and gooey in a good way. The rice and beans so so. Have fun :-)
