Having moved from New York City years ago I thought for sure I would never find NY quality Chinese food anywhere. We get the BBQ pork Chow Mein and Chicken Fried Rice once a week. There is something so comforting about the care they put into this food - from the portions, to the quality of the ingredients to that extra umph that most chinese food restaurants on the West Coast are lacking. Not this place. Fun, funky, local and great people. You'll love these guys!
The wonton soup was excellent! Has other meats and veggies in it which was interesting for wonton soup but it was good! The chicken was awful unfortunately. I got sesame chicken and my husband got orange chicken. The battered outside was completely soggy with no crisp or flavor. Not good at all. This was for both flavors. Fried rice was ok! Wish the chicken was better! ?
I ordered the BBQ pork chow Mein and the deep fried dumplings(I specifically ordered the BBQ pork chow Mein because of the reviews). However, as someone who grew up eating home cooked Vietnamese food with strong, explosive flavors, I was pretty whelmed by the noods. I even ordered it extra saucy because of reviews that said it was a bit bland. Don't get me wrong, the noodles themselves had a good texture and the pork was well seasoned, but the sauce was relatively average for my taste buds. I think the noods need a bit more of a wow factorThe potstickers were pretty yummy and the sauce it came with was your standard dipping sauce. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch, but I was expecting chinese flavors that dazzle and wow. Perhaps I need to try another dish! I would recommend TCCT and supporting local food is always a win for everybody involved :)
Ordered on Uber eats twice from different locations and it was from a good hub. The first time I got orange chicken and it tasted like it’s been frozen for a while. The second time I got chow mein and they tasted like the yokisoba noodles from costco.
The ownership changed since I first tasted the Kung Pao Vegetables. It tastes horrible! I tasted fish sauce in the Kung Pao vegetables. There was no spicy flavor of what it should taste like. Never going back. Wonder why they didn't keep the old recipes which tasted pretty good.Note that any reviews before 2021 was the old owner.
I'm a local who just moved into town. Read the reviews below but still went into. Got BELITTLING answers (by a middle-aged white women at the cashier) when I asked if I could request half an order of orange chicken/sweet n sour pour (but pay for the more expensive dish). She said they couldn't do that, because they would then have 2 leftover half-orders of dishes.I then asked if I could order one orange chicken dish with a side of chow main, and AGAIN got the same BELITTLING answer of they don't do sides of chow main because there would be a leftover half-order of chow main. * I just smiled and walked out at this point due to the rudeness that they are oblivious to. Never returning.
Amazing food! I have found my new favorite Chinese spot! The staff is very nice as well.
Egg Foo young was drenched in BBQ sauce. It's suppose to be with beef gravy. Then they dumped a bunch of vegetables on top and didn't incorporate the shrimp into the party. Never had it served thus way. I went back for them to correct it and it was worse. Shrimp fried. Rice was under cooked and mushrooms. And beef still had uncooked flower on the beef.I'll never go back. The food was thrown out in the trash. Very disappointed.
I ordered tofu and specifically asked for it NOT to be spicy. But what did I get spicy. I paid almost $28, and I called back... She said that she didn't know if it was the cashier's or the chef's fault. It seems that it was the customer's fault. I come in give her my business and can't get the food to my taste. So, I ended up throwing away expensive food away because I can't eat it. When I told her that I wasn't coming back "I'll tell the manager ". Poor customer service!!!!!
i ordered here for the first and last time a few days ago, this place is painstakingly mediocre. i’ve had bad chinese food but boy does this restaurant take the cake… the “fried rice” tastes like it was fried in warm tap water and their orange chicken tasted 3D printed. idk that’s the best way to describe it. no sauces, napkins or anything in the bag. just a bowl of disappointment and the receipt
