I saw a post on social media about their Tuesday steak night where you get a NY strip and old fashioned for $20 and I had to go check it out. Located in Barrio Logan, Liberty Call is in a plaza with a large parking lot by Chicano Park. We got there right at 5 because we figured it might get pretty busy (which it did later) but we easily snagged a table. There was a choice between the NY syrip or a filet mignon ($5 up charge) for for Tuesday special. I got the NY with the Bleu cheese and fries, so good and cooked perfectly! Old fashioned was tasty too. We also grabbed a few bottles of a few of their spirits to take home. Highly recommend checking them out!
Very nice bartenders. Helped me sample their spirits to decide which bottle to bring home. Sampling was well explained and I ended up on their Agave Spirit (Tequila).Just want to give a shout out that they do a 15% military or first responder discount- Not 5%, not 10%, 15%. That's a significant percentage and it felt like an actual meaningful gesture.
We stopped in for a drink and made a friend in the process. Krystal the bar tender was amazing! She explained the different flavors of whiskies and made great suggestions on how to enjoy them. We ended up buying a few different types of whiskey to enjoy at a later time. We can't wait to open them up! Nice place to relax and enjoy some whiskey or a beer from a local brewery. They have games on certain nights as well as a steak night which I believe is on Tuesdays. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed.
My friend & I split carnitas tacos & tri-tip tacos, a side salad w excellent dressing, tater tots & cashew wings. The beers were good too.
Appetizers and lunch meal was pretty decent. It was slow so no crowds ...the bartender was also our server. He was very attentive, cool, and polite. Was a bit too loud but the atmosphere was still pretty dope.
Great little place with great staff. Helpful and nice. Open airy feel. GREAT cocktails. I had the jungle bird with rum, lime, pineapple and strawberry. Super delicious!! Didn't try the food, yet!
My husband and I came to have lunch and we had such a good time. The food was delicious and nick was our host/ bar tender / server and he was awesome. The drinks are good & strong lol. We absolutely loved how spacious it was and of course the unlimited “Stubborn soda” refills was really cool. Great selection of flavors. Literally everything we ate at the restaurant was delicious and my husband even ordered the fried rice to go and ate it the next day and it tasted great! We will definitely be returning .
A must try! You gotta stop and check this place out! Food, drinks, service was amazing! We enjoyed it all!
Having to close down just a couple of weeks after opening due to COVID, Liberty Call Distilling is open again - and to bring us inventive cocktails and delicious tapas, just in time for summer. The menu is really extensive , so there will be something everyone can enjoy. Plenty of parking.
