If I didn't know I was in San Diego I would have SWORN I was sitting in any one of the charming, family run pizza joints in Chicago city or burbs. I genuinely felt like I was there! The pie was as good as any I had while living in Chicago, and the decor and dining room reminded me of Rosati's, Lou's, Connie's, maybe even a little Gino's! Our stuffed Margherita was everything we wanted it to be... and my typically 3-4 slice hubby was good after just 1 slice!! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! I could sit in that place all day and be happy with the ChiTown vibes. Looking forward to it being a regular stop!
The absolute best thin crust pizza in SD. While their stuff and deep dishes are their specialties, for me their thin crust pies are full of flavor with a huge variety of ingredients. Great customer service, owner is so sweet and humble, always busy but always worth the wait. At times they'll have live jazz bands in the back. Overall this place has won me over. Salud
I've been coming here for a little under a year because I like to give the benefit of the doubt. The food itself is pretty good but you have about a 70% chance of them getting your order right unless it's a by the slice pizza. The 30% chance remaining is if you dine-in. The owner is really responsive and corrects the order with a positive attitude which is great.
I am from Chicago and I must say this is some legit pizza!!! Not only was the food delicious, but every single staff member we interacted with with extremely respectful and kind. Highly recommend!!
While we love their pizza, we always end up getting a Chicago dog! My SO is from Chicago and he gives it a “thumbs up”. The sesame bun is steamed yet holds up to all the goodies inside. Mustard, tomato, peppers, dill pickle, celery seed and a beef dog with a perfect “snap”. Served with golden brown fries that ALMOST steal the show. Highly recommended.
