So many options on DoorDash. I landed on Lefty's, what a nice landing! Ordered 2 Italian Cheesesteaks/Hoagie's (regular and large) both had Xtra meat and cheese and I added bacon to the regular. It taste like I had a Lasagna with Steak sandwiche!! Tasty!! We both have 1/2 our sandwiches left. Thank you San Diego for introducing me to Lefty's!!!!
Good cheese steaks. Love that they let you customize but with additional charges. Mediocre customer service. There was only 1 young lady was taking orders and processing them. Highly recommend big poppa and lefty’s cheese steak sandwiches added green peppers. Soft, fluffy bread. Cheesesteaks are prepared fresh to order. inside dining available, however tables were not clean.
I thought I did a review for this awesome establishment. Oh I'll do one nowI've eaten here on several occasions and time my tummy is so ? happy. The first time I had a Lefty's Cheesesteak and it just what I had been craving since I moved to San Diego, a place that served a real Cheesesteak and hogies. That had all the right ingredients and no extras, the cheese, onions, and meat was the perfect blend. They put so much meat on it. As I ate this masterpiece I realized that I was humming. For those that know me, know that is sign of good food.When I have a taste for a Cheesesteak but I don't want that much food, I get the Cheesesteak Egg Roll. So yummy and it doesn't weigh you down. The dipping sauce that come with it is something else.The staff is friendly, courteous, polite, and they make you feel welcome. Even when it gets really busy the staff still treats the customers with respect.I could go on and on about how I love this place ? but I'll leave something to your imagination.
If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out! The food was delicious and came out piping hot. As importantly, the customer service from the staff, particularly Allyn, was engaging and memorable. My 7 year old daughter had a wonderful time here and Allyn was an amazing and charismatic host. We are definitely returning here many more times!!
Wow!! Owned by family, this is the place to come for delicious food. No joke!We ordered a Lefty's cheesesteak hoagie, curly fries, Garlic Parm and Salt Pepper wings, a chicken hoagie with cheese on the side....It was a feast!For sure we will be back when visiting next month if not sooner.
Awesome food the cheese steak egg rolls were the bomb even though it sounds weird. Alan was a super nice guy he was welcoming friendly and professional! Would definitely come back for the food and to hangout with Alan!
And the winner of The Most Anemic Reuben Sandwich award goes to...Lefty's Cheesesteaks! Applause. Despite being the thinnest Reuben sandwich ever at $13 plus tax, I'd still come back. Hence the four stars. Christine and the crew made my experience enjoyable with their smiles and attentiveness. They make the sandwich they are told to make. But ownership needs to break down and add some pastrami to this otherwise good Reuben. The restaurant is clean and has a steady flow of customers.

Before I begin…the young lady that gave me my (pickup) order was GREAT! Nice and apologetic for the wait.Cheesesteak egg rolls: sweet (looked like powdered sugar was on them ?) and looked NOTHING like the site photo.We ordered BBQ wings and received, what smelled and looked like Buffalo/Spicy.Overall, disappointed. The wait wasn’t that bad; place was clean…just poor food quality-experience.
This place is prime time! If you are looking for amazing customer service and even better food, stop searching and get in line! We got the Grim Reaper and it was killer! The perfect amount of spice and flavor! Definitely will not disappoint!
