Food is a problem, spent all night in the bathroom, service is really bad, you get to see server couple of timeS through out your meal. One Guest was very loud and obnoxious. It’s more like a bar. They would not open the empty dining room. I’d give them ZERO If there was less than one star
My husband is still talking about the cinnamon roll pancakes weeks later. The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. My only regret is that I don’t remember our waitresses name to give her a shout out.
Food was okay, service was pretty poor. Never received condiments we requested twice, sat there with our check for awhile. Definitely worth a visit though.
Look for the sign to the Whiskey House! The Lazy Hippo appears to be a tin sign and hard to see. Great little cozy eatery!
Excellent brunch spot in gaslamp, with everything you’d want - large portions, good food, extensive drink menu, etc. The only negative thing we experienced was a bit of a long wait for the food/drinks, and two of the beers we ordered were unavailable. However, the food was hot when it arrived, the service was still good, and we enjoyed our experience. Get their breakfast special!
We had THE BEST breakfast this morning at Lazy Hippo. It was very busy but we had really great service and the food was DELISH. I had the Vegan chocolate chip pancakes + a side of peanut butter ?. Would definitely recommend this spot for a meal in the heart of downtown San Diego.
Great friendly service even when they're busy. I had the California burrito and it was so full of flavor the meat was juicy and their fries are delicious. This is probably the best Cali Burrito I've ever had! ? We also ordered their kale salad with chicken. The chicken was also full of flavor and juicy.
Relaxing atmosphere that turned busy with a rush. Staff was polite and fun with great suggestions. Food was all delicious with the cinnamon pancakes being a stand out. Drinks were refreshing and hit just the right spot.
Terrific, funky cafe with good food. Sit and watch the cable cars pass by. My chilaquiles were delicious. I love the local artists' work displayed (and offered for sale), on the walls. Good coffee and mimosas too.
Crab balls to die for. Good people good food. Good service. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Must stop and eat here. Trust me
