Seeing the high reviews, I was expecting great Mexican food from this place so ordered the carne asada (loaded fries) and enchiladas. The food looked good, although its taste was extremely mediocre and I couldn't even get through the enchiladas. The loaded fries had big chunk of meat in it that was hard to chew. The staff were courteous but the food made it a very disappointing experience.
Food is very overpriced and very mediocre quality. It’s either super salty or overcooked or cold. Their operations are terribly inefficient. You might be the next person in line and still end up waiting 10+ minutes before they even take your order. Calling in orders doesn’t always do much to save time which makes it pointless to call in ahead of time. Food ends up getting cold from waiting to pay for the food you called in unless you’re the only person in line when you arrive. They lose a ton of business from customers walking out on waiting for the cashier to take their order or ring up call ins.The staff is nice and polite though.
This is absolutely the best taco stand I have ever been to. And I know that is a big claim in SoCal.But seriously, this place blew our minds with their food and salsa. Their chile relleno was so incredibly good. The fish tacos are so crispy, their crema was bright and refreshing, and some of the best fish tacos I've ever had.I can't say enough good things about their homemade salsas either. They have a red and green and both were flavorful and had great heat, not too much but enough to enjoy.
One of the most authentic taco restaurants in the area. The prices are very affordable, service was fantastic. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helped us order.I highly recommend the fish taco. It was well battered and the fish to taco ratio always left you with some extra fish so that you can truly taste its freshness. It was one of the best I've had and they are generous with their serving portions.
While the meat tasted good in the tacos, the tacos themselves were very odd. There was too much filling for the single tortilla, and there was rice of all things in my shrimp taco? Maybe come here to get something else on the menu.
Incredible chorizo and egg burrito. Salsa is on point. This place is authentic and delicious.
It's the best food I've had all week.I'm in from Austin for the Social Media Marketing World conference. As a Realtor, I eat everywhere (I do, many don't leave their house but I digress).I have been to 9 new restaurants this week so far and La Plata has been the best do far.The guac had A LOT of lime, I think they thought that was the salt shaker but that's my only complaint and it's not really one side seafood goes well with it.I had the Shrimp omelette. The cheese, eggs, shrimp, tomatoes, salsa, literally everything was as fresh as it could be and their beans are my favorite kind as well home mashed but still mostly chunky with some slivers of cheese and not dry but not too runny [email protected] approved, follow me on social for more
Friendly and amazing people work so hard here. The food is beyond words. Come hungry..... you won’t be disappointed.Every time we are in SoCal we visit.Outstanding choices, and the home made salsa is to die for.
Very good if not very standard Mexican. That did the usual options with great ingredients and a figuratively healthy amount of grease, quite literally not healthy. But the taste was good excellent. The price was on point and the people taking orders were friendly even when busy.
I love how seriously this place took COVID. The strict mask wearing made me feel safe in enjoying the DELICIOUS food. Very delicious burritos and good prices.
