Kura Kura Kura Kura (TWICE!) This establishment is a revolving place of wonder and wow. Especially if it's your 1st time and have never seen a revolving sushi bar conveyor belt that displays the nice options of various sushi. Children will find the conveyor belt an amazement as well as the cool robot that brings out the drinks to your table. Definite must.
It’s a good place to eat I highly recommend it
Amazing revolving sushi place. Service was excellent, food was fresh and tasty and the place was clean and fun for the family. Usually sushi boat restaurants have food that has spent too much time on the revolver but not Kura, theirs was always fresh. If you want to order off the menu you use the touch screen at your table and within a few minutes your order arrives on another belt.Great place for kids. After every five plates you put in the return belt, it shows you a video, after 15 plates, a prize is dropped down from a big dispenser.I would suggest getting on the app and putting yourself on the list virtually. We did it as soon as they opened and still had a long wait but at least we weren’t standing out on the sidewalk too long. When we got there a little after noon the wait was two hours and 20 minutes for walk ups.Parking isn’t great so be patient, there is a paid parking structure around back.
Love the whole experience. Was wonderful to eat there, sushi was good, but the experience was great. Love the way you can either grab dishes from the circulating ones, or you can order and they week be delivered direct by a different belt system. Beer on tap was fresh and cold, and the desert was wonderful. Highly recommend you download their app and reserve a table before going there as it can get busy and you'll have to wait outside
Ok, so I must say this place is hands down the best Dam sushi in San Diego, I've lived here 48 years I know San Diego I know sushi , it's made fresh and they have a rotating belt you choose your plates 3 dollers a plate I believe no extra to take home sushi should never be taken home , they have beer and saki, friendly service. My advise tho we didn't reserve a table if you do it'll save you some time we only waited about 30 minutes I would of waited an hour.Thank You Kura for the best experience ever !!!
I loved this place! There was a long waiting line but it was so worth it! The staff is very police and nice. And the food was great! Will be going back!
We used to drive to Irvine to get conveyor belt sushi from Kura; when it finally came to SD it was a welcome surprise. The sushi is good quality , and the constant line to eat here shows how popular and good it is. I recommend getting the Soft shell crab plate , the sweet shrimp, and ending with the soy milk donuts.
Good fun place. Staff is awesome
2 hour long wait on a Monday is a bit much. Love the conveyor belt option, however the people in the tables in front of us must have had similar favorites because they kept grabbing items we wanted. Food was good, ambience was nice, and the short order option from the kitchen was great. Download the app and put your name in an hour or two before you anticipate dining.
Always a very fun experience watching the revolving sushi plates go by while trying to decide what to take! You can watch the staff make sushi and load up the revolver. All the items are very tasty , but the salmon is the best in my opinion and you can select fruit and dessert from the trays. There's a computer menu to order other items like Ramen or larger portions. These items magically appear from the top revolver to your table. You place the plates in a slot which adds up the cost and a bill appears. The wait time in the evening is a hour to two, but you can expedite this by the Kura app waitlist.People leave all the time, so the lines to dine is faster than it appears.
