Best study lounge in Hillcrest! Good music, relaxing atmosphere, and a beautiful tree of life ? Plus the Kava helps me focus and doesn’t make me jittery and anxious like coffee does. Highly recommend!

Awesome place! They have several caffeinated and non-caffeinated teas, Kratom drinks, and Kava drinks. No alcohol or coffee. They have a patio, a large deck, and an event room. This place is really busy on the weekends. I spent a couple weeks in San Diego and met a lot of amazing people at Kava Collective. I plan to visit again.
Such a great environment! We had three kinds of kava (loved the chai!) and kombucha, played games and even got to bring out dog. We will def be back for bingo next Tuesday night!
I walked in to try and get some coffee. I was the only person wearing a mask. I asked what types of coffee they have and the bartender was super rude and curt and said, “This is not a coffee shop.” I responded by saying it says coffee on the window, and he replied that they used to serve coffee but not anymore. I’m not sure if he was hostile from the beginning because I was wearing a mask and they clearly don’t enforce that policy but I was so put off by how condescending he was. Don’t think I’ll be back, but other people obviously enjoy the atmosphere.
I've never been into Kava but, today I tried the green matcha with almond milk. It was absolutely delicious!Oh, and if you're wondering about that great lighting it's done by DMElectric.
The good: love coming to kava good super chill place to drink kava. Place is hipster swanky. A lot of people chill out using the free wifi, I prefer the back area that has fire pits and smoking outside area.The bad: last week they had no propane for the fire pit out backThe ugly: only 2 bathrooms and sometimes the wait is just insane.I support my local kava bar.
