I really enjoyed my visit here! The brewery/restaurant wasn't very crowded, they kept the main door open to improve ventilation, and I think all of the employees were wearing masks. The food is a little pricey, but very tasty and served quickly. There is a great selection of beer and some of them are phenomenal! The restaurant uses an inovative ordering system that works really well and cuts down on physical contact.
Beer and food are awesome, but the people/service made it even more special!! We told Ben our preference and he picked the perfect flight of beer that we loved! (I don’t even like beer in general) if we didn’t have to catch our flight we would spend the whole night here. Highly recommend!
Great food and drinks! However, the music outside is a little to loud and not the best. San Diego is a beach and sun destination, maybe the music could be a little more inviting and people would stay a little longer to enjoy another beer.
Lots of small batch beers but almost all are ipas. Red trolley Irish red ale tasted like a can - aluminum aftertaste. The here was refreshing. Very clean.
The food and drinks are amazing! Everyone is super friendly. 10/10 would go here every weekend.
HOLY HOT DOGS THIS PLACE IS INSANE! Do you like spicy? Do you like a great bun? Do you like wieners? If you answered yes to any of these questions then Karl Strauss Brewing Company IS THE PLACE FOR YOUR MOUTH. Their dogs are coated in dressings, toppings, and a touch of love to make sure nothing falls out as this bad boy slides down your gullet.
Fluke accident where our drink ticket got lost behind the printer. The bartender was quick on catching that we had our delicious ahi taco appetizer prior to our drinks. He quickly brought out our original order along with some tasters of beers that complimented what we already ordered. We appreciated the service! The stout was my favorite.
Food was really good. Friend & I got same Chopped chicken salad. Service was a little weird --all walk in with Q codes at table & services brings food but unfortunately never got second round of drinks because no one came around?? I would go back for the food but service could use some extra care
