The food has good flavor.

My normal ramen place had an extra long wait, and we were starving so we figured we would try a place we've never been before, and ended up here. It did not disappoint! The woman that served us was polite and more than helpful. The food was wonderful. So many vegetarian options! I was pleasantly surprised by everything we ordered. We will be back!

Ramen was great! Ordered the Black Mayu Tonkotsu.Broth was full of flavor and had a very strong garlicky kick to it which was quite nice. Egg was cooked to perfection. The extra thick noodles were nice and chewy and complimented the broth well.Service was amazing as well. Never had to ask for my water to be refilled. This restaurant really adds great variety to the ramen scene in Mira Mesa. Will be back again!

The pork broth was out of this world! The egg and noodles were perfect. The only thing that I didn't love was the pork-- it was really fatty and too broiled.Everything I had here was $27 and very good!

Love this place! We were searching a family friendly restaurant when traveling to SD and this place is perfect, me and my wife love the ramen, braised short ribs, beef tongue and aburi salmon, our picky kid really likes the ramen and braised short ribs. Will definitely dine in again when in SD next time!

I had the special, and my favorite part is the broth! I'm pretty a fan of firm noodles and the pork cut was decent but I'd recommend going with the signature or add more to make it more filling.I liked that we got seated right away and the service is good, our waiter was very kind. The service can be improved by seeing if patrons need something, we found ourselves hoping to get eye contact in order to ask for something. I'm digging the modern atmosphere and mural in the corner. Always room for improvement, I like having competition in Mira Mesa.Update: Wonderfully consistent! They really keep their flavor top notch

Was gonna grab a simple lunch, but couldn’t help order a lot.I’ve ordered miso ramen, nankatsu chicken, pan fried dumplings, and hot tofu. My wife ordered spicy tan tan and chicken karrage (only 3 bucks from lunch combo).Miso tasted good, same taste as the miso ramen we had in Tokyo. My wife said Tantan broth was creamy, flavorful, and tasty. They let the guests modify the spicy level, which is from mild to ghost.Appetizers were so delicious. Dumplings and chicken are strongly recommended.Service good too. The servers responded us in a fast and friendly manner.Would come back again for my wife’s birthday party.

Black Mayu TonkatsuDecent ramen for the price! Not sure how it compares to the other ramen places in the area (there’s a lot), but would consider coming again!

The price is cheap, and the food tastes so good!! I can eat there every meal with no problem! The service there is excellent! Everyone who works there is very friendly. The waiting time is very short. Everything is perfect!!! I really love this place! Isshido is the best I have ever been compared to other Ramen restaurants. I can say it because I am a senior fan of Ramen. I do not know why there are 1-star reviews. They are either hired from competitors or haters.

Surprisingly great chashu pork ramen, and decent prices.
