Very good service and lots of character. They have a separate vegan/vegetarian menu with loads of options. We sat on the patio which was really cute and surrounded by plants. Down to earth, not expensive, highly recommend for a chill spot in Ocean Beach.
Food was fabulous! They seated me right away. I told them that I had a migraine and they promptly seated me on the patio. They did not have music blasting that I needed to turn down. They didn’t forget about me even though I was on the patio and constantly came to check on me and refill my water. And they have vegan options! Highly recommend this place
I discovered Hugo's after searching for vegan Mexican food options. I was lucky to find this gem in OB! I ordered a bean and tofu burrito with a side of rice, beans and spicy carrots. Everything was delicious, and prepared just right. Portions were good for the price, and they have a full vegan/vegetarian menu with some traditional and very creative choices. Chips and salsa were served at the table before the meal. Service was excellent. Overall, highly recommend. Great place for vegans to bring their carnivore friends, too!
We just got the opportunity to eat here and it is overall just phenomenal, the staff is so nice the horchata is homemade and all the food is so fresh and delicious the portions were perfect and I can’t wait to come back highly recommend
Loved this. Best smokey salsa I have had in recent memory and I grew up on salsa. Best fish taco of our entire trip. Loved that there was vegan, vegetarian, and meat options for all. Pineapple tamale was not what I expected but that’s on me. The only downside to this dining experience was the 20 minutes it took to park, but it was a Wednesday night and we didn’t realize that OB had a night market. Wonderful patio that was nicely heated for the chillier than expected night
Best vegan Mexican food in San Diego! We were seated quickly and checked on frequently. Menu is clearly labeled, servers are knowledgeable about ingredients. Husband and I got delicious burritos. Soy chorizo rocks! Cool atmosphere, cool owners. Would highly recommend!!!
None of our orders were correct. The attitude is the customer is not right. We couldn't tell if there's alcohol in the cocktails.
Bad service. Took forever to seat us. Never came back. Plenty of staff hiding behind the counter. No one tending to other patrons. Other patrons verbosely complained about the lack of service. Waited 30+ minutes and left. Disappointing because years ago the prior place here was great. .Menu appears reduced and staff is not the same caliber.
