The establishment was very professional and respectful. When our group needed assistance they were there! Great atmosphere, people were nice and having a great time. You can actually order from their place and the Mexican restaurant next to them. I got the taco plate(2 shrimp-1 fish). 3 tacos your choice, rice & beans. All the chips and salsa you want. ?. You got go!!!!!!
The decor is on point and transports you to the island. Their empanadas are delicious. Next time I will skip the main course and just order more empanadas! Great cocktails. The live band was excellent and got the restaurant singing along. Very festive and lively ambiance.
The food is decent but completely disappointed that we made reservations to only find out that you cannot be seated on Havana 1920 until 5:00pm. We were sat at their sister restaurant El Chingon, eating Cuban food, completely missing an experience we were looking forward to.
The "tostones" and "ropa vieja"were yummy. Nkce place to chill and have some mojitos.
Cuban menu available in Mexican seating side was great! Sandwiches and yucca frita was so good! Drinks amazing!
The atmosphere is great if you want a relaxing evening with a nice vibe. The empanadas were especially delicious as was the rum drink our waiter suggested. The waiter was extremely good, charming and efficient. You could tell he knew his stuff. However, the restaurant was very understaffed. Our experience suffered because of that. I would go back again in hopes the managers/owners have resolved that problem.
Good food, good service. A little loud for a week night. Hard to have a conversation. People outside were smoking weed. Parking is always a pain in Downtown San Diego.
We sat upstairs and loved the decor and the atmosphere. Our appetizer came with a cute little Cuban flag on it. Food was very good. Ordered the guava cake for desert and it was fantastic! Our compliments to the pastry chef!
Cool restaurant. The building has a prohibition-era theme and Habana 1920 is the theme of going to Cuba in the 1920s to drink. The bar is mainly focused on rum, but they are willing to be flexible to get you what you want. The service and food were great.
Excellent. According to my wife who has been to Cuba it is very authentic. We had the croquettes, empanadas, tres leches cake and the guava daiquiri. And life music.
