I came to this place after seeing reviews saying they could accommodate vegan customers. Despite the lack of information on vegan options, I decided to give the Beet & Sweet Potato Hashbrowns a try. I asked if that dish could be made vegan, but the waitress gave me an unclear response. So I asked a second time to confirm and explained I was vegan, and she rudely replied with “I know, I work here”. She seemed to be doing the work of two people as another waitress showed up late, so I understand she was probably under stress. The food was delicious, but the portion was very small, especially compared to the other non-vegan dishes and considering the price I paid for it. I ended up ordering something else at a different place as I was still hungry after I left. My husband (who’s not vegan) ordered the Chorizo Omelette and said he wasn’t impressed with his dish either. Unless they add better options to their menu, I don’t recommend this place to vegans.
Read the reviews and thought we could find a place for a greasy breakfast and healthy breakfast all in one - We did, but we weren't impressed. The restaurant is on a corner in the city and is kinda grubby. Tables weren't clean, floor had trash on it. Everything showed some age. The food wasn't spectacular or even that good. It was about average, could have really went anywhere. It was nice that they offered to-go coffee, since a coffee costs $4.50 with breakfast.
We had two different breakfasts at Harbor during our week long visit. Great food i had with the beet and sweet potato hash browns. I’ve never had beets I’ve liked so much. Plus, the people working at Harbor are a lovely group.

Benedictinos con diferentes tipos de pan y modalidades (probé los Florentina) pero hay con salmón, cangrejo y langosta. Pan francés textura perfecta. La atención de 10! El café puede mejorar y mucho.
To start with they served the largest mimosa I have ever seen, the bloody marys were good too. Our breakfast was solid, no complaints, portions were good, not huge. The breakfast burritto looked like the best option and also one of the cheapest items on the menu, it was huge and flavorful with the chorizo in it. Steak and eggs and benedict were good, nothing out of the ordinary. Our service was great, food came out quickly. One homeless guy strolled in and grabbed a toast off of another persons plate and he was rather violently thrown out, since he apparently has done this before. It was some excitement to wake us up after the boots in the park day/evening before.
The problem was not with the dining room. The place is a busy diner. The chairs at the bar are worn. It's a little rough around the edges. But that gives the place character. This ain't the Ritz after all. Our server Melissa was scrambling. She was all over the room but took good care of us when she could. The food was the problem. The pancakes were just heavy and lacked flavor. The rest of my meal which included eggs and sausage was just fine. Just OK. Come on guys, do better. Breakfast is in your name. There are too many breakfast places in SD to return.
