The ice-cream was great. Wish I would have taken an extra minute to look at the menu options instead of going straight to what flavor I needed to choose. If I would have done so. Then I would have noticed that they have an option where you get to choose 6 different flavors and get them in little mini scoops in little mini cones. All the cones come in a little stand to hold them for you. I didn't have buyers remorse because I loved what I got but...... I could of totally indulged in more of the wonderful options that where available. If your close and your in the mood for ice-cream. I've got one question for you. What are you waiting for?
Ice cream flights!
Very good ice cream! Creamy and soft. Had the Mini Flight of 4 waffle cones. Had green tea, Thai tea, Elvis, and Banana Storm. Definitely recommend the mini flights if you dont eat a lot of ice cream!
So many flavors to choose from, tasters available and excellent customer service! The ice cream scoop from my grandson's mini cone fell in his lap and they happily took care of us!
What brought me in was the ice cream flight. Super cute and it allows me to try multiple flavors. I love ice cream. I got a flight of 6 with my friend. I didn't like any of his flavors however I tried them, and they definitely tasted like the flavor it should be. Very good flavors and unique ones as well. I definitely will be coming back.Only downside about the flights are they melt super fast.
Hammond's ice cream is delicious! They're the only ice cream parlor I've visited that offers an ice cream flight. That is, they offer small scoops of ice cream in tiny waffle cones. The flavors are creative and delicious, and the waffle cones are excellent. They're also open late which is apparently hard to come across for an ice cream shop. Would eat again.
Best black sesame, ginger with caramel, and earl gray tea ice cream ever!! This place is amazing! Their flavors are so good.
After eating at Hoxton Manor a few doors down, we migrated over Hammond’s for a sweet delight.Too many classic and seasonal flavors that we couldn’t decide. So glad that they offer flights on mini waffle or mini cake cones! You can have the option of picking 2-6 flavors or even all 32 flavors!!We ended up with:Pumpkins cheesecake - least favorite of all and I dubbed it “pumpkin sour” because it tasted like Vietnamese yogurt with that sour tart taste.Orange creamsicle - true to its flavorButter pecan - can’t go wrong with thisWhite Christmas - more like mint chocolate chip.Earl grey - my favorite. That tea flavor.Chocolate coconut - also a favorite with sweet and buttery coconut tasteYou must wear a mask indoors or be asked to leave.
If you haven't tried this Hammond's stop waiting and start enjoying some of the best ice cream in SD! Every flavor I've tried has been excellent and they have vegan options too! I've gone 4 times and all 4 times have been stellar, the flavors are awesome! The staff is masked, super friendly, and fast. They work through a long line in a snap. Parking is a headache but that's all of North Park. They accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AMEX, Google pay and Apple pay.
Great apple pie ice cream and the cookie dough and the peanut butter chocolate chip were lovely too. We went after a trip to Bar Three Piece across the street and had a great taste of their ice creams. :)
