I'm from Japan and and this is the most authentic one in San diego! It's kind a pricey but the food is fresh and good! They have a lunch special with good deals :)
Great food and excellent service as always.
Everything was perfect the abundance of food was delicious, The waiter was very knowledgeable and instructed us how many minutes to cook each item, we had such a good time barbecue and sharing the special occasion.
A lot of delicious food. Definitely good for bigger groups.
Service and food was excellent!
Service was a little slow and inconsistent, however, once the food comes out it is all at your own pace. Excellent choice for families to have fun around the grill. Unfortunately they do not have an all u can eat/drink option like in Japan (yes, same chain in Japan!)
The server Michael was attentive. We ordered the Wagyu special $150 which had alot of food for 2. It was more quantity vs quality. It would have been nice to get pickled vegetables with the special. The salad was good as well. Overall the food was good but not great. The calamari was tough.
The place smelled terrible the minute we walked in. The outside windows and doors were filthy. We decided to eat there and found another place nearby.
