Service at the outdoor tables was very slow. Water glasses were tiny. We baked in the hot sun with no water for 30 minutes. The cappuccino came in a tiny glass with no handle so you had to chose between burning your fingers to have a hot drink or waiting until it cooled off to handle the glass. The brisket hash was fatty slices of brisket past itâs prime with that weird iridescent slime on it. Husbandâs chilaquiles were good. Not worth the price.
I recommend this restaurant for its beignets and maple bacon donuts with coffee but will not recommend for its food. We were looking forward to the brunch menu with out of town guests. Sadly the food failed to impress. For example I had the brisket hash and it had no flavor. Apparently when placing the poached eggs on top the water was not drained adequately and was dumped with the eggs over the dish which washed away any good flavor overall rendering it flavorless. Sad because it could have been a good dish.
Fried chicken and cooked to order maple donuts! Enough said!
Food is nice to look at. Go here if you want pics for IG. Donât go here if you want food that tastes as good as it looks. The environment is beautiful. I was so disappointed with the food and drink. Cold drinks werenât cold. Hot drinks served in water glasses so it was impossible to handle until you let the drink cool off. So many execution errors from front of house, service and the kitchen. One and done.
We have dined at Great Maple a handful of times. We took our out of town relatives there today and the service was terrible. Was never offered water if any of our refills.
One of my go toâs! I love how beautiful this restaurant is. Itâs really the best atmosphere, the food is wonderful and the staff work very hard.
Beautiful space, liked the ambiance. First impression of the menu: shock no. 1: price! Very pricey. 2nd look: kinds limited breakfast menu, in our opinion but we always find something that we like. 2nd impression: massive portions!!! We had to take half of the order home. So, the price is not bad, since you can have 2meals out of it. Food was very delicious!
Made reservation specifically for outdoor dining and was seated indoors. When I asked the hostess she made me feel like I was being a pain rather than helping to address the issue.
First observation: Hosts, servers, and kitchen staff had masks on their faces but very few worn correctly. Second: We had a reservation. Arrived 3 min early. People came after us and were either later or early, but seated before us. All of us had the same number of people. Hosts were aloof and dismissive. There were four black people seated at the restaurant. Yet, three of the black people were all seated in the same area. Food was great. Server was adequate. Table and area were clean. Recommendation: Perception matters. Iâll stick with the Hillcrest location moving forward.
We had family morning breakfast with some friends. Very good food with good prices
