Stopped in for dinner with my friend. We split everything. The steamed dumplings came up first. Fresh and hot. Then we had the "Army Stew" and the kimchi fried rice. We honestly didn't realize we could split one soup but was def worth. Very flavorful, spice was just right. Highly recommended
It's expensive given the quality and flavor of the meat. The texture wasn't great either. They started off as more of a "fast food" kind of place and it really shows in their food. The sweet bbq chicken had a really basic "burnt soy sauce" kinda flavor and the spicy bbq pork barely had meat in the dish -- although when it came out it looked large because of all the veggies in it. I left unsatisfied. For the same priced meal you could get better food elsewhere.
This place was so good! My family and I were very satisfied. And the service was awesome. I did not get a chance to catch our servers name but he was very helpful and super nice, we will def come back here again!!!
Good food. We got the fried rice bowls. One beef and mine was fried tofu which I had to ask for 3 times. We sat for 10 min at least and before I got up to ask if we were supposed to order at the counter. They said "no", and came to table for our order. Service is sub par. I had to go up to the counter 5 times as there really wasn't any service coming to our table. They also don't have dessert. Lots of food for what you get and tastes yummy.
We ordered the army stew and squid with noodles and I have to say the portions are huge, and it is a little expensive but you get what you pay for portion size. The food was super tasty and we didn't have to wait too long but if you're going to go there I would recommend you don't go by yourself or you bring a friend to share the food with. Super friendly staff people which I think is like the best thing about this place.
December 2021After 4 years since the last visit we decided to check it out... the food remains amazing complimented by the efficient service. They use spectacular creamy tofu and unique sauces. We loved everything we ordered! Highly recommended place! Byob was $10.Very good place to have your bulgoki al fresco! Nice taste of the mains, but mediocre pan chan. Byob for 3$! Take your mama here!
The food that I had was off the rails good. The kimchi is hands down the best kimchi in San Diego. Most places you are getting a respectable store bought brand. But this kimchi has the right flavors and is definitely homemade with a fermented taste.Kimchi pancake and kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) where delicious.Service was on good and friendly. Expect to pay for the quality you are getting. Not expensive. But not cheap.
usually really tasty but the last visit was quite disappointing.they changed the cut of the pork to thin sliced and it came out clumped together.the beef in short rib stew was super chewy and not tender at all.hopefully the quality of the cooking goes back to normal
Love their stir fried Kimchi. Bought extra to take home.
Delicious!! Friendly staffs!! Decent price!! Finally..I found the best Korean restaurant in San Diego;)
