Customer service unmatched. Food was absolutely amazing! I had the fried fish with greens, saffron rice, and plantains. The tomato mix my fish came with was great, but they have this green mint sauce that takes the flavor to the heavens. Plantains were ripe and sweet and I had mango tea to wash it down. Best African food in town. And music and atmosphere was chill and upbeat at the same time.

Tasty food for a great price. I ordered three chicken combos and it was out in about 10 to 12 minutes. They said they were sorry for taking so long but I found it extremely fast for a Saturday night.I wouldn't recommend this place if you can't handle spicy food. I like a little spicy and ordered the non-spicy chicken and it was a little more than I could handle but enjoyable. They have interesting menu items with which i was unfamiliar but I highly recommend eating here if you want to discover some new foods from afar.

It was a great experience dining here. The food was quite similar to what Indians eat back home. Felt a lot at home visiting this place. The hostess ( I couldn't catch her name) was really warm and sweet. The food was delicious and the portion size was huge for me (I am a light eater). I chose the small combo. I liked the veggies more than the chicken. The sweet lady had told me it was spicy but not quite spicy for an Indian. My friend tried the chicken curry and I would say that is definitely one of the best dishes they have.

Delicious food and great prices. Definitely recommend. The staff suggested the beef stew, spicy jerk chicken, fried plantains, pilaf, masala fries and sambusa sampler. Everything was delicious ? Very flavorful

Great jerk chicken! Update: To Go Order of Sweet African Jerk Chicken with Ugali (cornmeal) and Biringanya (eggplant). The amount of chicken was small and what I'd expect for a side portion, and was placed in one of the small sections of the container. In the other small section was the Ugali, which is flavorless on its own, but ok when mixed with the Biringanya sauce. The Biringanya occupied the large section of the container, but was mostly sauce. It was good that they wrapped the container in plastic wrap, since the sauces of the chicken and Biringanya went everywhere in the container and surely would have leaked into the bag. The flavors of the chicken and Biringanya were very good, however the portions were less than what I'd expect for a $15.95 entree. Update: The dine in meals are still served in To Go plastic boxes. Ordered the sweet jerk chicken, with coconut rice and eggplant; and the beef stew, with saffron rice and collard greens.Overall the portions are smaller than they were pre-covid. The jerk chicken was tasty, but was 1/3 the normal size with just four small chunks and the remainder were small fragments and resided in one of the small compartments of its box. The beef stew was tasty, but was about 3/4 the normal size and resided in the large compartment of its box. The beef was tough with lots of gristle. If meat of that quality is to be used then it should be pressure cooked to make it tender. Given that chicken is cheaper to source than beef, I was surprised that it was the least protein in the two entrees. Since the taste of everything was still good, we will wait for normal plating to resume and come back to see if the normal portions also resume. Update: Food is still served in the plastic To Go containers. Ordered the Sweet Jerk Chicken and the Spicy Jerk Chicken, the Biringanya (eggplant), Plantains, and Coconut rice. Everything was very tasty. The amount of proteins is still very minimal. Be careful, the Spicy Jerk Chicken is over the top hot. So don't order it unless you can take the heat. Ordered the Chicken Curry, Saffron Rice, Collard Greens. All were very tasty.

Got some delicious food today, my mom’s favorite is the Kuku chicken curry with lentils and yellow rice. I got the fried whole tilapia, coconut rice and collard greens. We come here often and it’s always hot and fresh.

Amazing. Everything about it. I got a large chicken combo (i think that was the name) which came with 2 chicken dishes, 2 vegetable dishes, and rice. The spicy jerk chicken and sweet jerk chicken were super flavorful, and they grill the chicken right in front of you. The lentils had great flavor, and the plantains were cooked to perfection. Even the rice was good, I loved the coconut one. Everything was spiced very well, and the workers are nice. Everything came to 18 dollars, which I think is a great price for the extremely generous portion sizes. Go check this place out! You won't be disappointed

Just do it! I almost didn't order from this restaurant because the review pictures do not do this food justice.Yes, yes, yes! The dishes are flavorful, authentic, and great portions.I ordered take out and I love how they graciously wrap the container so that it doesn't leak.So many amazing dishes to choose from! The oxtail dish is amazingly tender and fall off the bone. Delightfully delicious! The flavors are not bland and have the perfect balance. So many flavors and spices! The injera bowl is huge! Plenty of moist, stretchy injera, but also large portions of veggies! You get to choose 3.The sambusas are perfectly crispy triangular fried pillows of crazy scrumptious flavor! The filling to outer crust ratio is ideal- you will be pleased with the amount of filling that is skillfully wrapped in a thin sheet of crispy, yet hint of chewiness in the pastry. I love that you get to choose from 7 different flavors. All of them are equally delectable. The order comes with 2 different dipping sauces- one reminds me of a date chutney and the other reminds me of a spicy cilantro/mint chutney- which are the perfect accompaniment for these. The restaurant is clean, and the service is refreshingly spectacular! They know what they are doing with their service and their food!

In town visiting My Son; I was excited about trying the food. The Vegan Combo of coconut rice, curry lentils, eggplant, fried plantains and collard greens met My HIGH Expectations. The Ginger Juice with cardamom was perfect as well!

Absolutely amazing food and amazing service, I have not been able to go to the storefront yet as I just learned of it but they’re in a lot of farmer’s markets around San Diego and whenever I go to one I go to them. From portion sizes to the flavors this place is amazing, I’d give 10 stars if I could
