Delicious, off the chart quality food. This is a gem. Get the vegetarian plate to sample several of their offerings. Everything I’ve tried from this restaurant is delightful. Just be patient, as it takes time to prepare.

Ordered takeout. Falafel was delicious, as was the rice. Not sure if the folks here is vegetarian - it came out hot and with what looked like meat fat on it. Service was friendly, inside and outside tables available
My absolute favorite restaurant in all of San Diego. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know! We get the chicken shawarma plate- it’s always delicious. I recommend getting extra garlic sauce. They have baklava which is really good too! The owners are extremely nice and the food is consistently delectable ? If you’re not coming here, you’re definitely missing out! They also have loyalty punch cards which is cool!
Best Mediterranean food restaurant in EL Cajon Blvd. Staff are very Polite & respectful towards its customers. Family owned business. Highly recommended.

I’ve moved to San Diego about 3 years ago and used to live about two blocks away from here. I now live in clairemont but I know who the real shawarma daddy is. Every now and then I still make the drive for the deliciousness and always recommend them to people who have never had Mediterranean cuisine. The family has always been welcoming and inviting people. Consistent quality food for the price you pay. It’s just cannot be matched! Sure I’ll go somewhere else from time to time but deep down i know I’m just settling for something less. All hail shawarma daddy!
I'm a tad bit disappointed. I've always loved going to this establishment, but after this visit I lost all my respect. I ordered a mixed grill to go with my friends while they ordered for here. My friends all got their food and for some reason mine never got to me.It took them almost an hour and a half to give me my food meanwhile everyone else is getting their food. I asked them multiple times about the status of my food and they said it's coming up, but still never got them.The establishment is horribly cleaned. With the ceiling fans looking like they haven't been cleaned for years. Piles of trash and random objects on top of tables.Overall, not going to this establishment ever again.
Wonderful Mediterranean spot. The combo for 2 is more than enough food and absolutely delicious! Will be back to support this local business. Service and food were on point, can’t believe it wasn’t busier on a Friday night!
