First time here. The best experience we've had in Mediterranean dining. Al is the perfect host. He provided us with a history of the restaurant and shared his fascinating life stories. His works of art and pictures are proudly displayed and added to the ambience. We went two days in a row because of our first impression. We had the Gyros salad, Chicken shawarma with a side of chicken-lemon soup, Chicken Tagine and baklava for dessert. Freshed squeezed lemonade made with orange blossom water was refreshing and delicious with the right amount of sugar. Everything was prepared to perfection with the right balance of herbs and seasoning. Highly recommend.
Such a cute place! The owners are lovely, and clearly take tremendous pride in both the food and the restaurant, as they should! The food was delicious, fresh, and very affordable for a home-cooked meal. We also spent a lot of time appreciating the art.
Felt like I was having lunch in a beautiful museum. Amazing food, service, and an incredible artist. One of my favorite new spots! Hidden gem that everyone must know about! ❤️
The owner of this magical restaurant is a living legend. I came here with my wife for a quick grab and we left with a wonderful foodie experience seasoned with poems and art. We might even left with a friend.
Wonderful experience! As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed with the warmest greeting. It lifted my spirits. I ordered the Spinach pie, the Gyro plate, accompanied by a rose water lemonade. The lemonade was superb! a splendid sweet lemonade wonderfully balanced by the subtle rose water. The balance gave it an amazing concord grape flavor. The Spinach pie was right out of the oven! It came out with some rice pilaf. The pilaf was steamy, lightly salted, and moist. Wonderful! The spinach pie had a flakey shell, with a soft middle. The spinach was paired with rosemary and some other herbs. Great appetizer! The Gyro plate! Wow! Aromas of what seemed to be cayan, but probably wrong. Exquisite to the nose. Very tender meat, lightly chewy. Had a nice crisp texture with the tenderness. A lightly charred flavor. So good! The pita was firm and great for eating by itself or with the lettuce and meat. Excellent!Overall, I without a doubt recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a superb Mediterranean meal, along with a great atmosphere. Must Try!
Really really good authentic food at a family owned cafe. Husband and nephew ran the front of the house while his wife was the chef.
Just ate here and the atmosphere and the food are amazing!! This spot is a must. The owner is a natural artist in cuisine and in the arts. All works on the wall are done by the man himself. Come see and taste...you will not be disappointed. (Pictured is a half eaten gyro salad with feta....it was amazing...and i will enjoy it for dinner )
A great place with such a relaxing and welcoming vibe. The owner was an excellent host as well as the staff, the food was just as expected coming from such detail oriented people. My mother and I are picky eaters and I can tell you that this place was definitely up to par. We came in on a slow night and were very impressed with the quality of food. Definitely give this place a try. I had the gyros which were flavorful and fresh, my mother had the chicken kabob which was also made to order.
Interesting food and fair portions at a reasonable price. The Lamb Mansaf was good. The Chicken Tagine was excellent and our new favorite. It's always a pleasure to see Al's artwork. He and his family are very friendly and helpful hosts.Parking during lunch and dinner hours in the area can be challenging. You really have to be careful pulling out onto Midway Drive from the parking lot, since most drivers are speeding and some pedestrians are not using the crosswalks.
What a wonderful place! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he is lovely. He has so many quotes and poems that he has written around the restaurant and all of them are beautiful. The food is fantastic. Highly recommend!
