We came to this place for the chilaquiles and we’re not disappointed? they’re so good! Just the right portions. The natural juice was delicious, you must try them?

Excellent customer service. Very delicious authentic Mexican food. Nopales salad, enciladas and squash blossom zuccini are personal faves. Plus they have the best homemade guacamole and fresh horchata in San Diego County
My favorite spot in City Heights. This family owned restaurant is our spot for breakfast. Their lamb is to die for and my Tias have gone on record saying their food is just like home. Go to their pairing dinner nights when they do it. You won't regret it.

11 of us had breakfast at El Borrego on Nov. 27th. I have been eating here for the past 10 years and it is consistently the best Mexican food in San Diego. Rodnia (the owner) goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome and the food is prepared by cooks that have been with the restaurant for at least 10 years, making the quality of the food consistent. the Huevos Rancheros and the the Chilaquiles Verde are especially good as is the nopal salad. Don't miss the special Cafe de Olla. We always return!!
This place is delicious! They also have vegan pozole. The tortillas are fresh made! The back yard looks amazing! The staff is super friendly. Parking was easy but maybe it's because we went for lunch.
