We went to the Earl of Sandwich for lunch today. We were not impressed. The staff was friendly enough. They have a caprese salad and a caprese sandwich. I wanted the salad and got a sandwich, I would have thought that if two products had the same name the person taking the order would have clarified. The sandwiches are more bread than anything else. I would not go back here.
Favorite sandwich is honestly The Full Montagu! Not many sandwich shops have bread that is soft even after it's toasted. The dining area and bathroom are always clean. The desserts and chips are good too. Workers are very friendly! I recommend this place all the time to friends and family for a quick bite to eat.
Worst dining experience ever. MANAGER was super rude like she doesnt want anybody in her store. Will never ever come back. Violence shouldve have been done but ehh.. she already hates her life. You can hear it in her rude voice. Bad employee
Can’t go wrong with any sandwich selection here. My favorites are tuna melt and “thanksgiving”. Staff was super friendly and helpful in suggesting options. Perfect option for a affordable, quick, and tasteful meal.
Nice little Earl of Sandwich located near the convention center or a short uber/lyft from Petco Park.Place had excellent service and the staff was friendly. Good place for fast food without compromising quality!
Pink goo made to resemble meat. As far as mystery “meat” goes it’s pretty typical, not unlike Subway, but honestly I couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be turkey, ham, roast beef, or what. It kinda tasted like tuna actually, but I know it wasn’t supposed to be that. There is a Chipotle not to far away if you don’t like these glued together remnants off the factory floor.
I came in at 1:20pm on January 9, 2022.I was told I can’t dine in. I asked why because they close at 3:00pm. The Manager said because they have to start cleaning.?With the explanation of by 2:30pm the dining area should be cleaned and at 2:30pm they will start cleaning the kitchen so at 3:00pm they are closed and everything is done-( So they can leave too? What a joke! ?)I was like, woooh! This is not right, I’m the only customer and during the pandemic I think it’s a good idea that they have more customers coming in.I’m not sure the owner will appreciate how you are running the business I said, let me talk to your boss and the manager gave me the phone number of the shop so when I called I found out she lied to me and said she can’t give her boss phone number. I was like, I have a legitimate reason because I wanted to explain on the spot what is going on and how the employees are turning customers away. I was threatened that she would give my payment back and not make my order if I would insist to talk to the owner. Wow!So I did not have the phone number of the owner. The Manager’s name is Delia. She is not doing what is best for the business. It is so sad!
Nice little sandwich shop. Their bread is really good - different than other sandwich chains - almost like ciabatta. Delia took my order yesterday and was very pleasant. The wrapping they use keeps the sandwiches hot while taking them to go.
Love love love the food. I do drive a long distance to get there to find out they close at 3 not 6. Fix your website
