This Denny's was the worst experience we've ever been to. The waiter made us pass the hot dishes to the rest of the table even though he had easy access to them. But when we got our food we found a hair WITHIN the pancake batter of one plate, a hair stuck to the bottom of another plate, and 3 more dirty plates that have been cleaned. When we spoke to our waiter and we asked to speak to a manager or owner he says there wasn't any and he doesn't know how to get a hold of anyone. At that point we felt it was no longer our best interest to eat there further. When we stood up to leave he happened to be on the phone with someone. While they said we got the meals for free, which we really didn't eat anyways. Also as we left our child had to use the restroom and the bathrooms were filthy, close to being disgusting. We will be reaching out to corporate and the health department!
Got in at 5:30 am server had a horrible attitude even with chef instead of asking or listen to customers he assures I ordered a strawberry crepe and coffee he didn’t tell the cook than he yelled just one but the cook didn’t know he also brought a plate with eggs potatoes and bacon that I didn’t ask for so he gets bothered When I proceeded to pay the credit card pad wouldn’t read my card so I had to used the chip instead and he yelled at me saying ; use the pen lady! I am not new using my credit cards I shouldn’t have tipped him but did he didn’t even said thank you I did but he just walked away ignoring me what a way to start the morning ?had never experience such of bad service at Dennys it has been one of my preferred places to go but today it left me a sour taste people who don’t like their job should stay home or find something else I didn’t ask for a free meal so don’t deserved to be treated that way. I should have gone across the street to Macdonalds a cup is coffee with a smile taste much better.
Absolutely the worst dining/ takeout experience I've ever had. Ordered take out over the phone so I could make sure the kitchen could accommodate my dietary restrictions. When I arrived to pick up my order, there were no employees in sight. I waited for a full 10 minutes before the waitress came out of the bathroom, saw me, and turned to grab a quick pump of hand sanitizer (thanks, but also why would she not have washed her hands when she works in food service?!). She went to grab my order and I noticed both her and the cook in the back were not wearing a mask and neither attempted at any point to put one in. As I was paying for my order, the waitress made some very racist comments about the a family that was sitting at a table near by. Finally left and got home to find that my dietary request had not been honored and the hearty Dennys omelette I was expecting, was smaller than the single piece of white bread I had told them I didn't even want. Absolutely not worth the ridiculous $17 price tag. I'm definitely done with Dennys.
There was one server, bless her heart, for the whole restaurant. She smiled the whole time and was very pleasant. They manager did nothing to help so the food was a little cold for my liking. I gave the waitress a good tip and commendations.
Not a very good Denny's. We will not ever go back to this Denny's. We started out sitting down and the waiter asked if we wanted to start with drinks. I ordered tea and my wife ordered decaf coffee and water. I was brought herbal tea and my wife's coffee was ice cold. They did not have rye toast and no half and half but offered 2%. We eat a lot at Denny's for breakfast and our Denny's in El Centro California is excellent. Our waiter in the Denny's in San Diego was in such a hurry he lost a lot of the customer service attributes that customers look for such as listening to the customer and checking the quality of food and drinks before serving. Never again here.
We have found the absolutely best breakfast restaurant in San Diego - Denny’s at 3704 Camino Del Rio W. My wife and I are visiting from Springfield, Mo - here to watch #3 do her thing at SDSU Women’s Basketball Home Games on February 16th, 2022 and on her last game of the season which is Saturday, February 19th at 1:00 pm. Long story short we visited Denny’s at another location which was close to here back in December (they were great too and so was the food) and got kinda lost and saw this Denny’s so we stopped here.We visited on Wednesday, Feb 15th and had an excellent waitress named Isabell wait on us - the kindest, sweetest server we have ever had - who pleasantly took our order and immediately brought our coffee and orange juice. The order came exactly as we wanted - cooked perfect and the best pancakes we have every had!!! And we are old! She kept my wife’s coffee cup filled and was a perfect server in our eyes. We were so impressed that we told her we would be back every day through Sunday for breakfast. We came back the next day - when we arrived we saw a man doing his routine chores - he greeted us, took us to our table, introduced himself and suggested coffee or juice. Since we knew what we wanted I informed him that we were ready to order. We gave him our order, he listened intently and told us he’d be right back with our drinks. Coffee with cream and orange juice was served immediately and within just a very few minutes here came our food in all it’s perfection. We learned his name was Caesar - and we fell in love with him too! Very funny personality - extremely personable - if you don’t fall in love with Caesar - something has got to be wrong with you! Two amazing servers at the same restaurant- unbelievable!! Whoever does the hiring and/or training has to be the best ever too to have selected the two - Isabell and Caesar. And not to mention the cook (whom we did not meet) because the food was perfect and so tasty. We will definitely make this Denny’s restaurant our #1 choice every time we visit San Diego. Keep these Servers happy as they are the best ever in their profession. My wife and I have been self-employed for over 15 years and have also put in 20+ years in retail and know what great customer service should be - Isabell and Caesar EXCEL in AMAZING customer service.Other praises should definitely go to:(1) The cooks - when we order eggs over medium - we want eggs over medium and they were absolutely perfect, the bacon was prepared as we ordered - crisp and the pancakes were the best ever on both days!!!AND(2) The cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable…..super clean and organized - everything was in it’s place - very appealing to anyone who would want to eat in a restaurant! So our hats are off to you too!Keep up the Super Job in all areas of the Restaurant- we will be back tomorrow and then the next day and the next - until we go back home.Gary & Brenda
Ordered online, so the details are right there. Both omelettes came without toast. Charged me for 4 slices of Turkey bacon, only got 2. Rubbery crepes. They do not answer their phones, so I was unable to let them know what they left out
Very busy on Sunday mornings. Order took 9ver 30 minutes to be served and was wrong. Normally a very positive experience, but not on this occasion. Staff were friendly and apologized. But frankly after waiting for 30 minutes to be served, we just left.

In this area, it was not possible to find a public restroom. We needed one. Therefore we found this Dennys. It was empty. The server was very kind and attentive. You don't expect world-class cuisine in this place. The food is decent, priced very reasonably.
