It was an amazing evening! The staff was outstanding and so was the food!

Took my husband for his birthday and the server James was amazing and the rest of the team. Very knowledgeable and great views of the harbor at night highly recommend for a nice date night

Kevin did a wonderful job serving us, including selecting the perfect wine. Outstanding in all respects.

Location and view are great. Drinks were great, but the food is fine. Really nothing special about the menu.

The waiter Eric was amazing. Food choices were impeccable. The butter cake and ice cream was amazing

Connected to the Intercontinental Hotel, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in San Diego is a gorgeous restaurant in a beautiful location along the harbor. You simply won't find a dining experience with a prettier modern motif with indoor and outdoor seating. Our party of four adults and two children was seated promptly on a Sunday evening, but service was slow and unorganized. To start, we ordered an $800 bottle of wine which would usually get the attention of the sommelier (maybe called in sick?), and two ounces of caviar, and then waited to order our appetizers and entrees. In an odd and backward order, the wine was opened and poured into glasses, the remainder was decanted, and the caviar was served while we still had menus waiting to order. The caviar was served with no spoons for the accompaniments, which was promptly rectified once we made the staff aware, but these small miscues should not be occurring at this level of restaurant. After the rocky start, things got better. The food was delicious, served hot and on time. The steaks were cooked properly, the sides were well prepared (get the large portions), and the staff ensured we never had an empty wine or water glass (though they repeated the wine miscue with our second bottle). I'll call it an off-night for a restaurant with incredible potential to be a special destination (even for a chain). I would give them a second chance in a heartbeat.

Very good service! Food was excellent.

I had the most wonderful experience from start to finish. I was able to get a table overlooking the water for a key business meeting. Our server Eric was outstanding with impeccable service and was extraordinarily knowledgeable about the menue and the extensive wine list. The crab legs and crab cakes were to die for and the surf and turf special was to die for. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone especially for special events, meetings, our just a delightful dinner out.

Never disappointed with the food and service here.

My first time dining at Del Frisco's with my best girlfriends to celebrate an important birthday, we had awesome service from Kara. Very knowledgeable about the menu, Kara helped us navigate the menu for the top selections. The pace of service was perfect. We were not in a hurry and never felt rushed. There was an appropriate amount of time between each course so we were perfectly anticipating what was coming next. The bacon appetizer was smoked to perfection and the shrimp cocktail was a light & fresh pairing for a surf & turf combo. The bone in rib-eye and 8oz Filet were cooked to perfection. We added 3 sauces for fun and the standouts were the truffle butter and blue cheese fondue. The brussels sprouts and au gratin potatoes were excellent. Though next time, I really want to try the asparagus because they sounded delicious. Hands down, you must try the butter cake. We didn't have much room left for dessert but were so delighted when the butter cake arrived. This was one of the best desserts with a slightly crunchy sugary crust and moist inner cake. The Walnut? ice cream was amazing all floating on a sea of caramel sauce. I will go back just for that! This seems like a great happy hour spot so will be checking that out soon.
