Very tasty fried chicken sandwich. Be careful on the spices hot is really hot. Even medium has a strong kick. Also eat it hot and right there it's not the same when you bring it home. Only seems like prices have gone up a lot hitting $15 for a fried chicken sandwich meal wow. But to be fair the serving is quite large hard to finish the two sliders in the meal. One of the must try spots in San Diego.
The grim reaper is their spiciest sandwich. They make you sign a waiver beforehand. The chicken is halal here, from what I understood.In terms of spiciness- it was very spicy (Nashville style) - almost like a powdery red chili on it. Portion sizes were medium. Having it with that creamy sauce helped. Also recommend getting the milkshake with it so it helps temper the heat.
Dave's hot chicken reminded me of raising cane's but it was nothing like that!If anything it was much better than that, plenty of flavor, the cheese fries weren't tasty(make sure to eat those first), the Cajun flavors street perfect, & the pickles were not too sour! The sauce was perfectly balanced when combined with the food!
Delicious!!! If you’re Mexican can handle the spice, I’d go extra hot or reaper because hot was nothing but a tingle. I also liked the cheese sauce (like a nacho sauce) better than their regular sauce.
I like me spicy chicken tender than a regular chicken. Dang Dave your chicks are hot a$$ he77!I’ll keep it short and simple just like their menu but with different level of spiciness it’s a whole new world out there.The real question is, can I handle it? Yes, I can!I’ll cry while eating it though, lol.Must order the Milkshakes, cause you’re gonna need it.
Yum yum yum! Love their spicy fries chicken! I know it’s not that type of healthy foods. But everyone wants to have fried chicken once a while. I just think they are perfect when you are craving for fried chicken. Their spicy level is serious, so be careful when you choose extra hot. I’m pretty fine for Hot. Their French fries are delicious too, crispy outside and creamy inside. I’ll go back to have more because it is gooooood!
Nice to have a Daves spicy chicken in Mira mesa. First time trying this location. Everything came out great and the chicken was just as juicy and great. Would recommend.
Great food that rises above their fast food competition accommodating 7 levels of spice. The extra hot was quite good but I am not brave or foolish enough for Reaper but the legal release is an entertaining read.
Love the Halal chicken pieces and sandwiches! Menu is simple, with the different deals. One can select the level of how hot you want it to be. They have variety of drinks including shakes. Clean facility, fast service, friendly staff, nice location, plenty of parking, plenty of seating space outside.
Chicken sandwich is decent, I'm giving 5 stars because of the wide range of spiciness. Reaper level is respectable, definitely the spiciest fried chicken I've eaten so far.
