Don't go here if you like guacamole.I ordered a California burrito. As you can see in the photo, there was so little guacamole I could barely taste it. I kept taking bites assuming the guacamole just hadn't been distributed well, but no -- that little smear of green you see at the top of the burrito in the photo was the most there was. Most bites had no guacamole at all. It's a shame because the rest of the ingredients were good. But for me, guacamole is key for a California burrito. A California burrito with essentially no guacamole is a bad California burrito.I went here once before, and that time my burrito had significantly more guac, but it was bad -- you could tell the avocados they used were too old and had that very slightly rotten flavor. Ruined the burrito. So apparently this place just doesn't have good guac practices, or I just got really unlucky twice.
OMG! My newest new favorite breakfast burrito!!! Cardiff Crack has a taco shop and you can order their tri-tip right there and go home with it all saucy and delicious, ready to cook, without having to drive all the way to Cardiff!!! Winner!!!Their surf and turf was great also!!!
Accessibility: I didn't see any wheelchair accessible parking, only normal parking spots and 1 hour regular spots. The door is a pull door, propped open when I came, and the building is all one story, wheelchair accessible, including their one bathroom. They have tons of seating inside as well as outside under a covered patio. All of the seating is wheelchair accessible with moveable chairs (see photos).Experience: friendly employees and the cutest style inside. Shoot, I would love to live here because it's so cute! The food was very good in taste and the price was pretty average. For 3 rolled tacos, another meal, 2 horchatas, 1 chocolate cake and 1 flan the cost was $45 dollars. Honestly the desserts cost almost as much as the meals so if you want to save, skip those (although they were delicious).
First time trying this place out! Great vibe and atmosphere. Was looking forward to the food. Ordered the Crack Tri-Tip Fries! When the food arrived, everything looked great! Couldn't wait to dive in! Upon the first bite, you could treat m taste the blend of flavors from the guac, sour cream and other toppings. Along with the freshly made french fries! The Tri-Tip was also flavorful but it was cold! It seems as if the Tri-Tip may have been premade but was not heated before adding it to the freshly cooked French Fries! This was disappointing but did not stop me from finishing these off. The Spicy Salsa made this dish even more savory! So my expectations being a little high because of recommendations from others may have caused my rating to be a little harsh due to the cold Tri-Tip. However, I would recommend trying this place for yourself as there area few things on the menu I'd still like to try as well.
The Crack taco and IPA battered fish taco are my favorite! Their tacos in general are so good. I love the tortilla, they won’t break and don’t need to be doubled. Also love the quesadilla. The staff is friendly and hardworking. Fun vibes in the restaurant and on the patio. Once we went there for lunch 3 days in a row! Beware of the parking lot, it’s usually mobbed with lines for Soapy Joe’s and Starbucks. Go in the middle or west entrance.
The place was really clean and orderly. I ordered the nachos and they were brought out to me quickly. I also bought a Mexican Coke and they had no bottle opener readily available. After looking for one for a couple of minutes I asked the person at the register, who had been watching me the whole time with the coke in my hand mind you, if they had a bottle opener. Usually when you order a Mexican Coke they offer to open it. The nachos were hot and the Carne Asada was flavourful. The cheese used was nacho cheese and shredded cheese on top which was a really nice extra. I love the beans that were included. Overall the food was good! I think it is a little pricey though.
I'm a neighbor so, I like to think of myself as a loyal customer. Now, I understand the pandemic took a toll on all of us. I myself am a chef and used to love coming here after a hard shift and enjoy a nice surf and turf burrito. In the past couple months I have ordered said burrito (no Pico de Gallo please) as I am starting to develop an intolerance to tomato ?and unfortunately, everytime I forget to ask at the counter when I pick it up to make sure no Pico de Gallo. And everytime when I get home, I bite into or open the burrito to this! My wife stopped liking this place looong time ago and I just stayed loyal. I even convinced her to get some tri tip nachos just to give them another chance. But, honestly, now with tonight, the unseasoned shrimp, barely any "tritip" and all this tomato. Not to mention all food was cold. I picked up instead of delivery. I can only imagine if I was to get it delivered. Not to mention my wife's daughter came into town tonight so, i really wanted to impress with the whole tri tip thing. Sad ? night, sad dinner. Might, MIGHT be a while until I go back.
The owner is awesome! They make their tortillas and salsa from scratch and use organic ingredients. Their tacos are super yummy! I’ve tried their specialty crack taco, adobada, carnitas, and vegetarian taco and all were delicious. My favorite part is that they don’t skimp you out on the guacamole and they do not charge you extra. If your looking for some good tacos this is the spot!
Ordered the adobada tacos and i was actually shocked as to how lacking in flavor they were. Let alone the fact that the meat wasn't even warm at a bare minimum. The hand made corn tortillas were good, but much thicker than you'd be expecting. Every bite tasted simply like tortilla and avocado. Prices were out of control but you gotta make it somehow in a town that's insanely saturated with the likes of every form of taco in a 30 mile radius. I respect their hustle, but i don't think I'll be coming back unless they take into consideration their not-so-desirable reviews.
Extremely expensive and bad food. I ordered two tacos Al pastor and the meat was warm only, not hot. The only good thing was the home-made tortillas. The meat was okay, but nothing to rave about. Truly an overrated taco outfit. Maybe ok those who can’t tell the difference between good and bad Mexican food. But be ready to shell out $20 for two small tacos and a drink
