I'm shocked this place isn't more popular. It's amazing! The food/fish are high quality and fresh. My partner and I shared the Jun San and orange Specialty Roll. My favorite is the salmon oshi, which ironically, is the only thing I didn't take a picture of. Everything was delicious and light. We'll definitely be coming back and putting this into our dinner routine.

The tonkatsu ramen was so hit and miss— the watery 16hr broth was rather bland. The chasu and noodles were good and the egg was excellent. The chili oil was monotonous, mild at best and didn’t help the broth flavor at all. I ate what I could and ordered a rainbow roll. The California roll base was good in my lunch special and in the rainbow roll. The fish on top of the rainbow roll was okay. The California mixture CARRIED the rainbow roll. The service was good, inside is nice. Parking spaces are tight!

For $199 this combo is so worth it! It’s difficult to find a Japanese restaurant that’s reasonably priced and has good quality fish in San Diego. Just wish they provide miso soup or small dessert for this combo but otherwise perfect!

Ordered the set menu Kappo by Jun. The most expensive Jun Sama for $59 to try everything. Everything was delicious with a good portion sizes and plenty to fill up even the most hungry diner. However the Jun San at $42 seems like an amazing value getting most of the Jun Sama with the only difference being the scallop and 2 pieces of sushi which I could have passed on.Outdoor covered patio seating was very nice and wasn’t too crowded. Easily seated on Saturday night without reservations. Service was fast and friendly.

Delicious sushi & amazing service. One of the best sushi places i have ever eaten at. Not only yummy but beautiful presentation. I loved everything. I really recommend the Kun Jun Or any of the set menus. We also drank the house hot sake & recommend it.

They have the best quality fish and prices ever. These two are Bluefin Tuna Sampler, and Premium Nigiri. The Amaebi( sweet shrimp) is so good!! Oh my gosh, AMAZING!!!!They also serve omakaze for $95 only!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!Definitely will come back!!!!!!

Chef JUN is my favorite low-key, great quality sushi spot. I am never disappointed, and it is always a hit with friends. I usually get one of the set menus, which are INCREDIBLE deals. Very reasonably priced as well.

Pretty good Japanese restaurant based on the two dishes I tried! Should pay more visits.

Chef Jun is an underrated sushi restaurant. It’s now one of my favorite go-to.What I love most is the omakase. You’ll be presented with multiple dishes that will leave you full and satisfied. They put a unique spin to some of the sushi dishes. The flavor is very good and you’ll be scheduling your next reservation before your dinner is over.

Good service. Red dragon roll, bay ho roll, mío sparkling sake are good. Spicy tonkotsu ramen is not good. Pretty pricey considering the taste.
